Unlike you...curiosity got the better of me and I installed the app using Home_CSC...Everything went perfectly until the phone rebooted. It gave an error that Android system couldn't load and I needed to factory reset the phone! I guess the bootloader is updated in this update else why would recovery give such an error! TLDR, I had to factory reset after this update.
Too late bro... The phone factory reseted... DangEncryption is somehow tied to the patch month, so yeah it was unlikely to decrypyt data.
You should be able to ODIN the Nov one back on and be fine.
It's Oct patch.. Doh
My device is SM-G9980 S21 ultra snapdragon. Can I flush SM-g998B snapdragon rom?In this thread, you can discuss and share the Mega links of new firmwares (OFFICIAL STOCK) for the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G!
NO CUSTOM ROM's and/or ROOT-talk
How to flash the firmware to your phone:
View attachment 5334455
1. Extract (un-rar) the firmware file (i.e. to folder C:\Odin) ***
2. Download Odin v3.14.4
3. Extract the Odin ZIP file (i.e. to folder C:\Odin)
4. Open Odin
5. Power OFF your S21 Ultra 5G
6. Reboot Phone in Download Mode: Connect USB-cable to your computer. Hold down "Volume up" and "Volume down" at same time. While holding down, connect the USB-cable to your phone. Or use the command "adb reboot-bootloader".
7. Wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
8. Add the firmware files to their designated slots (AP in AP, BL in BL, CP in CP, HOME_CSC in CSC). USERDATA stays EMPTY!
10. Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes for the device to automatically restart.
*** You can always find the LATEST firmware in message #2

RIP Henk, saying goodbye to our good friend and colleague
It's a sad day for all of us at SamMobile. One of the biggest Samsung fans is no longer among ...www.sammobile.com
please show your battery on a full charge. Right now, you are charging the phone to just below 85% mark (not hitting the 85% mark where the battery stats reset)
this is excellent
This morning I got a message to reboot my phone after checking for Google Play System update. I did it, hoping that finally I get the update but... after the reboot I'm still on July 2022 version...same problem here, I also tried install Android 12. And it was updating fine to October 2022. But when I install A13, it's back to July 2022 (I did clean install)
Same hereThis morning I got a message to reboot my phone after checking for Google Play System update. I did it, hoping that finally I get the update but... after the reboot I'm still on July 2022 version...
Mine did that too and after restart I'm still on October
NoI have a SM-G998B. It currently has Android 12, One UI 4.1, the service provider sw ver says: SAOMC_SM_G998B_OXM_TPA_12_0021, TPA/TPA,TPA/TPA.
I want to upgrade to Android 13 using the firmware in the second post using Home_CSC in odin. I need to know if it will be factory restored after the flash since my product code is from Panama and the newer firmware product code is from Switzerland.
Thanks
Good job
I've noticed the same with the last update. Battery is noticeably worse, by roughly 20% compared to before. My battery life took a huge it with the last 2 updatesI have XEF CSC...
So annoying, I'm barely finishing a day now.
That's very nice to hear. Not to this extent. Samsung has dumbed the phone down so people buy their new phones.
Compare the Dark mode for example from the S21 ultra vs the S23 ultra. the S21 ultra dark mode is not pure black like the S23 ones (which is bluish and lighter). Luckily they have introduced two extra (blue and yellow dark themes) with One Ui5.1 which mimicks the darkmode of the S23 ultra.
Also with Good Guardians you have more control on the battery settings ( I have reduced the thermals by 2%)
Also with One Ui 5.1 you get better battery if you dont close your background cached apps as I believe they have made it like iphones version
Lastly I have done a couple of changes in developer settings.
Anyways I am back to 5 - 7 hours now by mimicking a few things I noticed on the S23 ultra.
with all the bells and whistles wqhd, 120htz, Bluetooth,5g and no forced deepsleeping or sleeping apps.
Struggling to kill it in a day now and sometimes am back to two day usage with light use.
Quiet pleased I didn't move to the S23 Ultra.
I meant that if you've changed your CSC, and want to change it back to original one, you need to repeat the step again. Anyway, looks like you have it figured out.
