That appears to be an new limitation in AOSP 8.1, yes, so maybe not entirely Razer's fault though I guess they could have added it if they want. There appears to be a Magisk module that adds support via fuse if you need it. Search for "vold" in the repo. Haven't tried it yet but it seems to do what you want

I'm using it in the actual moment on a SanDisk 200gb
I would return the phone if there would be no option to use a filesystem that supports files larger than 4gb

That's not possible. Put the actual card in your computer and post the fs.

Are you sure you mean exfat and not ext?

If you use Magisk, install Vold. It will corrupt data first time (at least it did for me) so make a back up of everything before you do, after the corruption I just factory reset, reinstalled everything and it's working fine. I use my 256 gig USB c drive that's formatted as ntfs with it. I haven't tried it yet with other formats.
