Thanks for your answer. Kind of a deal breaker for me. Stuck with one N5 and one Oneplus and no idea wich one to keep. Omni is great!

With the plethora of ROMs and kernels available Omni is the deal breaker? As much as I too am hoping for a build I would recommend you try out the Vanir Commotio build. Also includes Omniswitch, etc.
Will keep you very happy until this is released. ;)

Not trying to advertise another ROM in this thread, just trying to help a fellow OPO user choose the right device :p

Omni is a community-based project for the Android community which is Free: Free to Use, Free to Modify, Free to Share. It's also about options, which is the beauty of Android.

This is an EXPERIMENTAL preview build of Omni.. Expect bugs...

I just had to use the find7op defconfig, everything else is just like the find7a, including vendor blobs

    - u have to flash superSU if u want to have root access
    - bugreporting: with logcat and via bugtracker
    - its an early preview so expect bugs

If you just use the defconfig and change nothing else, some things will be broken.

I was gonna work on a blind build to send you tonight, but looks like you beat me to it.

First - https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/7875/ (should fix storage issues)
Second - Did you remember https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/7794/ and its dependencies? (there are quite a few unmerged commits needed for Find 7a to work, and if you don't have these, find7op will be busted too. The number of unmerged commits will drop significantly once I do the audio merge I mentioned on G+ earlier this week)

Some of the comments in the CM11S-on-find7 thread indicate to me there may also be changes needed in the sensor configuration to handle different mounting angles.

I would also recommend removing the bugtracker link since JIRA is really only for devices that have made it to the nightly phase.

I'm really happy to see that the device tree is now on the OmniRom GitHub, and that there is a slight slim chance that we might get official releases from the team. their statements about support for the device at first were really discouraging, and i felt like we are being punished for reasons we have no involvement in ..... Thank you guys. wish you all the best

There's a brand new maintainer starting to work on it. He's fairly inexperienced, but pretty much the only reason this is getting supported so far is because it's 95%+ identical to the Find 7a and it shouldn't be hard for him to deal with the differences, it's a good learning opportunity. He's also going to be out for the majority of August on vacation so I'm not sure how much will get done this month.

have everything ready, but repo sync is being a pain...stopping at 98% lol
