Sorry for posting about H840 again. I can understand only if someone tries this on H840 they will be able to tell whether it is working or not.
But can you please tell me just 1 thing. Will it be possible to flash the firmware from other region. As mine is GBR (uk region) and as of now no firmware is available, can i flash the firmware of H840 from some other region?
If someone confirm this, i will go ahead and proceed with the rooting.

Thanks
If you can install the kdz from another region on the h840, my g5 SE is from Telcel Mexico and I installed the kdz from the Turkish model h840TR And everything works normal

until someone finds internal storage mounting problem i advice nobody try this method. You cant see your storage, you cant install applications, you cand dowload anything.
You cant download from market. Think there is 0 byte storage.

Dude... just because it isn't working for you doesn't mean it isn't working for everyone. On my personal device I have been able to install and run apps as the apps are not installed to the /sdcard partition.

Stop cluttering up this thread.

Happy for you :) Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get it working on nougat (the first time I tried to disable dm-verity I still got the "your phone is corrupt screen"). Tried 3 times so far but nothing changed

@Honestly Annoying I would have a question to ask you if you don't mind : at the step where you ask to reboot our phone into recovery and wipe data you added "again". Should we have wiped the data partition before ?
Nope, it didn't work for me either, I was too busy today to post but basically I pushed a reboot and data wipe command via adb to skip the power off, and more importantly, the phone is corrupt screen. Then I rebooted it and it ****ed up because dm verity was still on. Guess we're gonna have to wait a little while on nougat

also for anyone getting bricked (I killed mine by stupidly flashing the boot of a h830 by mistake), after literally a day of trying to unbrick it with lg up, uppercut, flash tool, toolkits, etc, the easiest solution by far is to use LG Bridge, the consumer software for fixing bad updates, it's a one click auto flash to the right version. I'm kicking myself for not trying that first

hey, bro ! My H860(TWN) is in the same state as you now
I tried to replace the current version with build.prop, but not working. i can not use LGUP and LGBridge because of unknown model and LG Flash Tool failure in 4%,
but what's worse, it is now on the bootloop. i tried all the method, have no result, i almost give up it . if you find a way to solved this problem, please pm me,thank you!
Damn :/ It's pretty much annoying, did u try a factory reset to see if the bootloop goes away ?

Did u manage to use LG bridge from only download mode ? Once it downloads the firemware for me, It can't apply it for me from download mode :/

I had it on download mode because I literally couldn't get out of it. I had like, 4 different drivers installed and cycled through installing/uninstalling them until one of them recognized it in bridge. What's the error it gives in download mode?

It recongnized my phone, downloaded the update, but couldn't apply it, it's like he doesn't see it anymore once it has to apply the update, and normally bridge forces you to install latest drivers no ?

yeah but those drivers didn't work initially, some others in the thread were having the same issue and I guess I was sort of replying to that. Is your phone stuck with a broken android with an error? If so that's just the stock recovery menu, you just need to push power + vol up, wipe your data, and reboot

No, my phone works, It's just that I have no more access to storage or camera, and It's really laggy, and I can't flash with LGUP

It either shows me download error at 4% or crashes at 4% when the usb connexion is established (and only with lgup 1.10 and 1.11) but with lgup 1.14 shows me model unknown, and it doesn't care what dll i give it to him
have you tried uppercut? Also the four drivers I had are LG Mobile Driver, United Mobile Driver, VZW United Drivers, and the Bridge drivers. Also the modem drivers if you want to count that. 1.14 works with united drivers iirc, don't take my word for that though. Really weird that bridge isn't flashing, I think if you bricked it and unbricked it with bridge again it'd work fine :D (okay seriously don't quote me on that, it's far too late and I'm overdue for sleep)

Yes, i tried but have no effect, now i can not access the system, Once if u can entry the factory mode could u access the Version info ? ,i found it will FC ! i doubt when we brushed the boot.img ,it changed some information about the SW Version in some place we don't know except build.prop and if we can found and modify it correct, i think the LGUP can correct identification the phone model
i also found my phone can managed by LGBridge from download mode, but model still is unknown and can't update
