I don't use a case, I probably should and will get one when one comes out for the extended battery. I love that it's a little bit thicker and heavier. Stock, this phone feels like a toy!

The bump on the phone has that little ridge going to the top skinnier part, and it's just the perfect position to rest your hand on - it's really not as bad as you guys are making it out to be. I have noticed with heavy usage especially with WIFI that goes down slowly. I guess this should be expected of a battery that's almost a 50% increase in capacity.

I am looking forward to seeing how it handles heavy bitrate divx files or streaming HQ youtube.

On standbye with minimal use i can get almost 2 days out of my phone, with constant texting i can get about 20 hours out of my phone, if i use bluetooth and listen to streaming music about 12 hours is it. Best thing to do is kill your "sync" its worthless and who honestly needs a constant reminder that someone posted a facebook link, turn off your gps if your not using it, leave off wifi/bluetooth if your not using it, and just make sure that you don't have more then 5 apps running that draw internet notifications like " you mail " and what have you. 12 hours is something even my droid eris could beat with heavy usage so i don'y buy at all you guys can't get better battery life. Learn to use your phone in my opinion. There are app killers for a reason.

By the way I dont sync anything. What do yo consider heavy usage if your killing everything. I travel 300 days out of the year and I have to do the airport grind once a week. I carry around a 3000mah usb battery for my phone because the battery life on them suck if you really use them

Could definitely see it coming in handy on a long travel day. Airport at 7:00am and then hotel at 5:00pm with heavy use. But everyday no.

good day.
This is why i have one. Only time I'll roll with the extended battery is when i know i'll be working from my phone all day and not have consistent access to power for charging.

For "in-town" stuff, I have plenty of juice in the stock battery.

I dont see the point of buying the thinnest, sexiest phone on the network... and then knocking the thing up with that big old belly! I carry a spare stock battery and have the spare battery charger that comes with a "Y" connector, so my desk dock is plugged into the "Y" as is the spare bat charger. Wake up, grabe both the charged phone and drop the tiny stock battery in the front pocket and go.

I gotta say I bought the extended samsung battery and almost threw it in the trash after a day. Had it been free I would have but I keep it in my desk drawer for emergencies now. Just kills the phone imho.

That's like a gheto booty!! Nasty! I couldn't do that. I am not a battery expert, but why can't they extend the thick part closer to the camera and create an odd shaped battery. That way you wouldn't just have the bottom part of the phone looking all crazy.

The extended battery is awesome. So it doubles the thickness of the phone.e big deal so does a goddie otterbox. Except this serves a purpose other then throwing You 600 dollar phone across the living room. Besides it still fits comfortably in pocket and gives you something nice to hold on to. Course the real benefit is I charge my phone every two nights. Over 48 hours every charge and I still have about 25% left. Although it does take nearly 4.5 hours to charge.

I can't remember the name of it, but I went to the Verizon store a few days ago and bought a simple kit, stock battery with a charging station for it that you can also hook the phone up to at the same time, charge both your batteries at once. It seems to work alright, except for having to change the battery. I am thinking the extended may be a better way to go, even if it does look pregnant, I bet it feels comfortable.
