Is there any way to get a an external power case to charge the note 4? I bought one of the 4800mah ones from amazon. I put it on the phone and made sure it was snug on the usb connection. I push the button on the back of the case and it starts charging the phone but after a couple of minutes the charging has stopped. I thought the case was defective and requested a replacement. I got the replacement and charged it overnight. I put it on the note 4 and when I got down to 41% I pressed the button and it started charging. After a couple of minutes it stopped as well. Is there a setting on the note that can be changed that will allow it to be charged?

Contact the seller or manufacturer and describe your problem. I don't think this is an issue with your phone. It's either poor quality battery case or 2 defective ones in a row.

Also try disabling Fast Charge to see if that helps. I doubt it will, but who knows?

BTW, have you found any battery cases that allow the pen to be removed? I asked if there was one here:

However, everyone just keeps giving me extended batteries, even though I'm being extremely specific that that isn't what I'm looking for and that I'm looking for external battery cases.
Ugh!

Disabling the fast charge did it. The first one was probably good. I have not found any of the battery cases that allow access to the pen. If I do I will post it in your thread.

Thanks and I'm surprised that worked. It was just a thought I had, lol. If you had Fast Charge on, but was plugged into something that can't support it, it should just charge at normal speeds.
