Hi luattic, i love your fantastic work, but since a few times we don't have any news. I hope it's not a bad things. Can you leave us a little message, for your fans ? :D

newbie help: got error flashing

Hi,
I followed instructions exactly and got this message in TWRP

Updater process ended with error: 7, eror installing zip file '/external_sd/Exmely_v4.0bT580.zip'

then I booted to system and got a blank screen. Can someone please tell me what error 7 is?

This error occurred when I followed the step that is: "In the home screen of TWRP, tap on [Install], [Select Storage] where Extremely Rom is stocked, select "Exmely_vx.x.xb85x.zip" then [Swipe to confirm Flash] and wait until ending. "

Hello. Iafter this rom but after installing it I noticed some of the apps I used to use are saying they're no longer compatible in the app store. Anyway I can fix this?

I ever test some roms, no one was as good as yours. I hope still use it, but if there is no news, only speculation i'm afraid it's the end of this rom.

wow, sweet rom! fast smooth, i hope better than lineage 15.1, battery life sucked!! One question, i notice supersu installed already in this rom, i like magisk instead....does the offboot file uninstall supersu so you can install magisk?

I bought the T580 yesterday as part of a Black Friday deal but was disappointed to see the bloatware I could only disable. I found this ROM shortly after rooting and it's exactly what I was looking for. I hope you'll consider doing the same for the recent Oreo update. Thanks! :)

I've flashed latest build into T580, all works fine until I press Power to turn off the screen or screen turns off by itself (after 30 seconds). After that I have a black blinking screen (blinks once as I press power button and goes black).
If I hold Power button there should be options to power off or reset but instead there is a stretched wide grey line(lines)... After a reboot all works again until I turn off the screen.
I've tried to flash it twice after trying another ROM - no luck ((

    Information about Installation.​
    Before all:
    • Backup all, system, data, personal data, copy all your internal storage to a secure place.
    Prerequisites / First time installation of TWRP:

    Device with TWRP installed -> twrp-3.0.2-0 twrp-3.1.1-0 twrp-3.1.1-0 If you need explanations how to do this:
    Installation:

    • If your internal storage is encrypted, format it > [Wipe]/[FormatData], type "yes". (if you're just installed TWRP it will be encrypted).
    • If your internal storage is not encrypted normally it will not be erased but make a backup for security.
    • In TWRP, [Wipe]/[AdvancedWipe] check "System", "Data", "Cache", "Dalvik/Art cache" (Don't check Micro SDCard !!).
    • In the home screen of TWRP, tap on [Install], [Select Storage] where Extremely Rom is stocked, select "Exmely_vx.x.xb85x.zip" then [Swipe to confirm Flash] and wait until ending.
    • Reboot to System, don't be afraid, with SuperSu you get 2 time boot.
    • Be patient, deodexed rom take long time for the first start 2-4 min (and every time you wipe Dalvik/Art cache).
    Optional procedures to deactivate useless functionality / enhance performance.

    (If you do not know what it is, or you want to keep all the functionality, just skip this step)
    After the configuration of your Android system, you can use "DisabledPackage.xml" in your SDCard, to import in Package Disabler 1.x.x app, this is the list of packages that will be frozen. There is lot of apps that not essentials for me but may be usefull for others, you can defrost at any time to get they functionality working again.
    Important note, when you import the XML file, the app start directly to freeze the packages and your device seem blocked, just wait 1-2 min and the process will end.
    I have deliberately not permanently removed the "packages" of this list to allow some people to have features that are currently not useful to me, such as: "NearbyServices, QuickConnect, PrintServices, ScreenMirroring, Smartview, GameOptimization, etc . . .", I preferred this way so as to be able to activate these according to the future needs. At first boot, none of these packages are frozen, it is necessary to use the soft included in the rom as indicated above.
    Some reminders: A frozen application does not appear in the system, is not available in the application list of the phone, consumes no resources and can not be launched by the system.

    Apps replacements.​
    Important:
    • This Rom come without any Internet Browser, Calculator, Calendar, Mail, Music & Video player, Photo/video editing. Download your favorite with GPlay or you can use these free light apps or see also "SamApp" in the download section, for the original Samsung applications.
    • Extremely v4.0 SM-T580: Exmely v4.0bT580.zip, this is the T580 ROM . . . Last UPDATE 20180317 See here for more informations on install/update.
    • Extremely v7.0 SM-T585: Exmely v7.0bT585.zip, this is the T585 ROM . . . Last UPDATE 20180317 See here for more informations on install/update.
    • Files checksum: Files_checksum.SUM (linux format[LF]). You can check integrity of each files (in case of corrupted zip file). HowTo for Linux, Windows, Mac. users included.

    New firmware SM-T580 & Update OffBootFile...

    Informations on update:
    • Extremely_v3.0bT580 updated [T580XXU2BQL1] security patch 20171201
    • OffBootFile (Official boot.img file) updated to handle new rom versions.

    Installation / Upgrade:
    • Install extremely rom corresponding to your device following the OP instructions (first page).
    • Upgrading, simply apply installation from TWRP, no wipe needed. If you're a Magisk's user, you need AFTER the FIRST boot, enter TWRP and following steps described below (Installing MAGISK)

    Installing MAGISK v15.x
    • Install Extremely rom like always following OP and let the device rebooting normally at least 1 time before next step.
    • You must use "Exmely_bT580_bT585_OffBootFile.zip" (download section) with TWRP and ( WITHOUT REBOOTING ! ) install latest version of MAGISK followed by Busybox if needed (choose *ARM.zip file). So, you must put all needed files in your extSdCard before starting operation !
    Why using SuperSU 2.82 instead 2.82SRx
    Simply because when i use others latest versions (SR2, SR3, SR4, SR5), i have a big lag on login screen (schema) and i don't like this.
    You can install latest version of SuperSu without any other issue ... (if you don't use lockscreen).

    Notices:
    • Exclamation mark get you bad mood ? read this.
    • What "Exmely_bT580_bT585_OffBootFile.zip" do ?. This patch simply put back the original boot.img file (stock) that permit a correct installation of Magisk, don't forget to not reboot between steps, if not, your data's partition will be erased and partition will be encrypted again. In this case, you need to format it in TWRP.
    • Each update erase apps installed with SamApps, it's a normal thing, you just need to put them back with it, your generated data with these apps still present except if you delete "data" directory in TWRP.

    • SamApps update with newer version of photoEditor from samsung and Youtube modded app from @ZaneZam (thanks to him) .
    • Magisk patch not supported anymore, instead i've made a simple patch (all rom's versions) to put back the stock boot.img file to permit proper apply of Magisk application and rooting system.

    • Install extremely rom corresponding to your device following the OP instructions (first page).
    • Upgrading, simply apply installation from TWRP, no wipe needed. If you're a Magisk's user, you need AFTER the FIRST boot, enter TWRP and following steps described below (Installing MAGISK)

    Why using SuperSU 2.82 instead 2.82SR4
    Simply because when i use others latest versions (SR2, SR3, SR4), i have a big lag on login screen (schema) and i don't like this.
    You can install latest version of SuperSu without any other issue ... (if you don't use lockscreen).

    Installing MAGISK v14.x
    • Install Extremely rom like always following OP and let the device rebooting normally at least 1 time before next step.
    • You must use "Exmely_bT580_bT585_OffBootFile.zip" (download section) with TWRP and ( WITHOUT REBOOTING ! ) install latest version of MAGISK followed by Busybox if needed (choose *ARM.zip file). So, you must put all needed files in your extSdCard before starting operation !

    Notices:
    • What "Exmely_bT580_bT585_OffBootFile.zip" do ?. This patch simply put back the original boot.img file (stock) that permit a correct installation of Magisk, don't forget to not reboot between steps, if not, your data's partition will be erased and partition will be encrypted again. In this case, you need to format it in TWRP.
    • Each update erase apps installed with SamApps, it's a normal thing, you just need to put them back with it, your generated data with these apps still present except if you delete "data" directory in TWRP.
    • If multi-users, was previously enabled, it will back to disabled, you'll need to apply the patch again, your others accounts remain present with their owns preferences.
