Check your routers settings, is the password the same for that band? Notice the ssid is different? Try manually adding the SSID to the phone. Also the 5ghz band doesn't cast as far, try being closer to the router.

sent with Hugz from my new fully stock, non-rooted VZW LG V10 VS990 which an old faithful still working Rezound helped me to afford to get

i believe a wifi ssid should be the same regardless if you set it to 5GHz or 2.4GHz. i use a MyFi which i could set to 5GHz or 2.4GHz..my previous G3 can cpnnect to my MyFi on 5GHz...but looks like my F600K does not.. hardware isse? *sob

I have Belkin router which runs both 2.4 + 5Ghz simulantanously.
The 2.4 band's ssid is "Home". The 5GHz's is named "Home.5GHz". Their passwords can be individually configured as well the rest of their security settings.

If yours is currently working fine with other devices it must be configured correctly for them.

Is it possible you forgot to do a crucial step which you had done in the past when setting up the other devices?
Try refreshing your memory some
by reviewing your Mifi's current settings or manual.

If it has a firewall you must turn off the firewall to allow the router and phone to talk to each other and okay that connection on the routers side before bringing the firewall baclup again.

Also on top of a firewall some routers Also have white + black lists which even already pre-approved/allowed firewall bypass devices must be added to.

This way you can quickly deny/re-allow wifi access to any individual device without deleting and having to re-go-through the entire firewall initial setting up process each tyme.
