Face unlock 1.1.6 apk by oneplus!

Hey developers
Faceunlock apk has been released on APKmirror , i guess it is related to 5 and 5T , i have installed it on my oneplus 3t , but of course nothing happened , so my question is can we benefit from this apk to install the option of faceunlock of the 5T & 5 ?

Why do u need to install another apk when face unlock exists already in the 3T at Oreo?

It still has to be integrated in the ROM (for instance, in 5, 5T you have options for this in the Settings), and installing this apk doesn't magically give that option in the setting. So for us with the 3/3T, its useless, we still have Androids Smart unlock which is good enough for convinience.

Smart Lock doesn't use the same algorithms used by Face Unlock on the 5/5T. Smart lock will also unlock your device when your eyes are closed, while Face Unlock will not unlock your device.
Smart Lock has not been updated since Android 4.4.4., and it is not recommended to use it, as it is extremely unsafe. Be happy with the super fast fingerprint sensor on our devices and don't complain that xyz features are not available on our devices.
