HELLO EVERYONE, I'M HERE TO RESCUE YOU ALL!

I saw this post and decided to try and fix it, so I've put together an APK that does this for you. You'll need to have the Xposed framework installed, which now exists for all versions of android that Face Unlock is available.
Here is a link to the Xposed module APK:

repo.xposed.info/module/com.samstenner.instantunlock

To those looking for a way of doing this without root/xposed, it's impossible. The app needs to have access to the Keyguard Monitor, as it needs to hook onto the 'notifyKeyguardChanged' method, which is ONLY possible using Xposed. I'm afraid my solution is the only way, unless Google changes the way Face Unlock works in the future.

Does face-unlock work on your N6 with Oreo? Mine doesn't, what Gapps did you use? I used 'Open Gapps 19-11 Full' (ARM)

Sorry bro I don't own N6
I have oneplus 3 and I am on OOS 5.0 oreo (pretty close to stock)
My face unlock works without any issue
It should work on your N6 as well

Could you explain your issue in detail here?

Apparently the library files for Trusted Face(arm) is missing in Oreo. In order to get it working we need lib from stock ROM or any other ROM where Trusted Face is working

Run face unlock whenever screen is lit up

I admire the great functionality face unlock. I have an idea that whenever screen is lit up, run face unlock! Such as when ambient display waking up the device. Many thanks

Autoinput is not working 100% for me. Sometimes it bypass face unlock and ask me for fingerprint, other times it works and take me directly to home screen, but it fails most of the time. Maybe it doesn't play well with fingerprint, I have both options enabled. Most of the time I use fingerprint, but face unlock is convenient when the phone is on the table and I don't need to grab it just to unlock.

I have a pixel running stock pie, rooted with magisk 17 btw
