There's also an app called Fast for Facebook or Friendcaster.. I just turned all the autostart permissions off of the Facebook app cuz I rarely use it.. Sometimes I don't even install it.
Really now? Hmm my doubleshot refused to even run Facebook for longer than 3 seconds without totally freezing up and needing to be killed. My N4 on 4.2.2 runs it like absolute crap and it still needs killed about every 5 minutes. My moms Galaxy Tab 2 is on JB and every since the update once again it don't work right.
I have bought friendcaster pro but it was so long ago I forgot about that app so it may be time for a reinstall. Thanks though cause now I know the problem is only local to me and my family :beer:

Have you tried using the browser for FB? I'm only on GB but it works ok for me that way.
Yeah its kinda dumb, facebook is faster in the browser than through the app
And then on the browser its like "get the facebook app to browse even faster!"
On my lte and nexus7 I prefer the app over the browser. When I was on my shift I preferred the browser lol

Well with the specs of the N4 and the tab 2 it's performance isn't based on device.
Friendcaster pro does it job great though

Yeah I've noticed some people say that they finally got it right and others are like it's unusable... It's weird
Yeah its BAD dude and has been on my doubleshot and mako so I always thought it was a poorly coded app and that Google was just trying to push Facebook out of Android. I guess its hit and miss though.

I closed my Facebook AND Myspace accounts a long time ago. I thought about Google+, but they want me to link my Picassa acct to it. No way am I making my private pics public.
Lol just found this and thought I should share...
In my own opinion, I think Facebook has just gone downhill altogether. Even on the best android phones, it is still buggy and slow.
