Facebook Linked Contacts Update Interval CAN IT BE CHANGED??

EDIT: After having no luck getting it to auto update like it is suposed to i'm thinking maybe if we can change the interval that it updates (default is 2hours) then it might kick start it into working?? Bit of a stretch I know but have nothing else to try! lol



How do you set the update interval for contacts linked with facebook?
When I look at a contacts facebook tab their status is always at least a day old!

Slide along to manila settings click on data services..

Click on facebook logo or line, not the icon on the right..

No option to increase download interval only to allow automatic downloads.

Yeah that is already on but clearly it's not updating every 2 hours or my contacts status' would not be over a day old!!

Definetly not updating as often as it should on my phone either. Can go a whole day without automatic updates of facebook...

Yeah I only got round to linking my contatcs to the FB profiles the other day and I may as well of not bothered!! lol

In fact it appears that there is no regularity to the updates, mine has now not updated since I manually did it on the 7th!!

Ok a few days on and I can confirm that it does not update at all unless I do it manually!

This seems to work fine on my phone. I haven't actually made sure it's up to date every two hours or not, but checking my contacts their status always seems to be within a few hours.

Dumb question: How do you link contacts with facebook? And do the contact photos get updated if the person changes its photo in FB?

open up a contact and press the tab that looks like a person with a clock, then click link!

Yes i'm using Bandswitch it disconnects 3G Data if idle for 30 secs, this has not effected any of my other updates though like Twitter, Email, Weather, etc... it's just Facebook that does not update at all

Just found out why I think it is!!!
FB doesnt remember my login details, each time I open the app it asks me to login!

EDIT: Although that doesnt explain why it works if I press update?! Hmmm.....
