Fake-flash by Koush, launching recovery without a PC

in the op is says "Note: The recommended install method for fake-flash is now 'ROM Manager' on the Android Market."
does that mean we dont need to use this any more and should just use Rom Manager instead

All rom manager does is download this update.zip to the sd card, then issue a command to boot to clockworkMOD. I would recommend the long way because you learn more, and the whole point of recovery is so you can recovery a broken system.

the same problem with others!!!!

when I do the procedure " keep press the volume up + power button "

I got the following in the lower part of the screen in yellow color;

E: can't open /cache/recovery/comand

the top part has the 4 selection written in blue, when I select the second one "Apply sdcard:update.zip" it start to install the recovery but aboarted after time with the following message

"E:Failed to verify whole-file signature"
"Installation aboarted"

please help me out guyz

Try using ROM Manager, and try redownloading the zip
