Greetings

I installed the Maclaw CM11 on my brother´s phone (GT-I8190L) and the mobile data can't be activated. I mean the phone is stuck on LTE but we don´t have this service here yet (Perú) and the phone doesn´t connect to the 3g o 2g network (there is not even the "H" or "E" icon).

I´ve been reading this forum and couldn´t find a solution for this problem, so if someone can help me with the solution it would be really appreciated (if there is a solution, of course).

P.S. I tried the APN of the operator (Claro Peru) but it didn´t work either (btw I haven´t tried the last build from today yet)

EDIT: ok i got it!.. you just have to find the correct APN used by your service provider find it ( in your service providers web site or something ) & manually put it in & then save.. hope this helps anyone

Well, I always remove that app before flashing a update, anyway, simple click on simtool app to open it (I think).

thats the thing i can't find simtool kit app in app drawer but i can see it installed in setting/apps but can't launch it since
there is no launch option.. i know somebody from fb group that have the same problem

Which launcher are you using!? I'm using Nova Pro. Long press on your homescreen, add app, choose stk app. That's it.

Edited: Almost forgot, of course add it to homescreen only for test if you can enter in the app, not to add to drawer.

I need help when I install a Custom recovery menu on my T599N it will stay stuck on the menu even if I remove my battery look at my thread for more information on what's going on hopefully you can solve it.

Next time don't quote the all OP please. Regarding your question, you're stuck because those recovers are for I8190, not for your phone.

So, i just flashed my phone with this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2521593 and now my phone doesn't detect the SIM card.
Could it be because i didn't have the SIM in the phone during the flashing?
Because i flashed my phone with PAC yesterday with the SIM inside and it worked perfectly.
Any ideas?, should i flash it again maybe?

Never heard about that, strange. Did you made a clean install when jumping from PAC to CM11!? Always need a clean install before start reporting errors/bugs.

Followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2400123 . When going from PAC to CM11 i followed the Upgrading/switching. Should i do the first one?

Clean install:
1-Reboot in recovery
2-Choose Wipe data/factory reset
3-Flash cm rom
4-Flash gapps
5-Reboot
Done, that's it. Not complicate.

If you want to update cm roms (or any other rom):
1-Reboot in recovery
2-Flash cm update
3-Choose Wipe cache & dalvik cache
4-Reboot
Done.

You don't need to mess up with anything more.

I'm rather upset at the loss of the Samsung tones (specifically Over The Horizon, Whistle, and Ringing To You) and the alarm tones. They've been replaced by stock tones from Eclair, Froyo & Gingerbread (eww!!)

Of course. CM isn't a Samsung rom, so what you're expecting!? If you want them, you need to find them & then add them to cm rom. Use XDA search box or google, to learn how. Have fun.

I have rooted my S3 mini for the first time a month ago with maclaw CM11, later switched to Carbon rom, and finally came back to CM11 again. Minor bugs i noticed were also noticed by others and were solved in upcoming patches. This bug kept appearing every time i installed a newer version or switched roms. Either this is very common and easy to solve problem (that i'm not familiar with) or its just happening to me for some reason...

Every time when i get new SMS i pull down notification tab, click on the message, open it, read it, sometimes respond to it, than i go back home and the notification still stays as if I never read the message. When i open it again, than it disappears. Or if i swipe it, or click the checkmark (read) it also than disappears.
Maybe this is normal for 4.4 but i never used Nexus phone or any other custom rom, i don't know. I have been using stock Samsung rom for the past year.

Can anyone explain to me where the problem is and how to fix it? Please :fingers-crossed:
