Oh you think that doesn't apply to other countries except that Europe, USA and Australia?
I don't think so, most of other countries haven't any law about it so maybe that make jurisprudence.
Anyway even in India i'm not worried about that.
I know it doesn't apply. European directives only have to be adhered to by member states of the European union. End of story.
As for laws in other regions, why would you think anywhere else has to follow them? It's illegal to network unlock a carrier subsidised phone in the USA. Do you think that makes it illegal elsewhere? Most countries courts do not take foreign rulings into account with regards to jurisprudence and rather make rulings based on the evidence at hand and their own judgement.
You're wrong in this case and no amount of arguing to and fro will change that. :)

You have no proof that doesn't apply.
It's totally legal to root your phone and that doesn't void the warranty in any other country of the world, if not then prouve it or just stfu forever.
There is nothing so closed as a closed mind.

Please read up before arguing. :)
Also, please stop with the aggressive, insulting tone. There is no need for it. ;)

Don't take your case for a generality, there is no agressive tone, you're continuing arguing a point where you're wrong, you have no proof and nothing to detail your way.
Like i said, prouve it that's not legal or just close your mouth and stop being retard, there is no law in India that said it's forbidden to root your phone, so nothing to prouve that's not legal.
You're wrong deal with it.

I never said it was forbidden. I said it was plausible that warranty could be denied unless a ruling was made that rooting is fine and doesn't break warranty. I also said I personally believe it shouldn't invalidate warranty.
Proposing a hypothesis is different to stating flat out that something is forbidden.
Still, rulings made in certain countries/regions have no bearing in the rest of the world.
Also, again, please stop with the name calling. It's childish and has no place in a reasoned discussion. Thanks.

Let me quote you :
"I know it doesn't apply" So now "it's plausible that warranty could be denied unless a ruling was made that rooting is fine and doesn't break warranty." Seriously?

So please, you don't know what you're talking about, you're just making suppositions with no proof, you should stop now, you contradict yourself, one time you're sure, after you think it's plausible etc...

Steril Talking...

Please read my initial post to you carefully. A few times if need be. You quoted it, so I assumed you had read and understood it.

I was (and still am) simply saying that Sony do not need to stick to a European directive in anywhere but Europe. That point is what I've been trying to get across to you the whole time.
You're the only one that brought legality into the argument by telling me to read the wiki article when I already had. ;)
Anyway, I'm out of this argument as it seems we are arguing about different things entirely :D
Have a nice day. :)

Tard a day, tard alway.

Sony has nothing to do with the fact of rooting your phone or not, Sony is the manufacturer, that only warranty your phone of latent defect, they just don't care what you do with your phone, except unlocking bootloader.
So now just stop talking you're just ridiculous.
For the last time :

ROOTING YOUR PHONE IS LEGAL ALL OVER THE WORLD

No matter, Sony, No matter your country that's the reality even if you're disagree.

Please stop this idiotic bantering. None of you are completely right, but what you are saying is complete nonsense. The fact that there is no rule against it doesn't mean it's legal, and European jurisprudence has no value outside of Europe.

But most of all, I don't like your tone. Keep your discussion civilized, font size 7 isn't gonna make your point make anymore sense than a normal size, and calling someone a retard is downright offensive. I'll make a note of this and don't want to see this again.

PS
Please remove the link to Streetfighter IV from your sig, piracy is not allowed on XDA.

236 is a test software version for brown devices only, I believe. I don't think those devices are updated the same way as retail ones (I could be wrong though), so they will probably have to use Flashtool to update.

Yes, you can flash a custom recovery with a locked bootloader.
I recommend this one - [TOOL/UTILITY][LOCKED BOOTLOADER][ TWRP 2.6.0.0][CWM 6.0.3.3] XZDualRecovery 2.6.3 RELEASE

If you wanna include the thread layout part you're gonna have to ask me4488 . That is his work. I have mentioned his name with a size 6 font in my thread. Not that I'm suggesting you do the same :p
