Is neccessary CM7 kernel for CM10? Because I installed CM10 for Froyo without CM7 stable, but the boot logo is the original Motorola. Aaand is it okay to I can use the statusbar during locked the phone? Thanks

# Epsy 07.26 Green LENS
The kernel doesn't change the logo - some custom ROMs do. U don't have to flash kernel if u had froyo

Q: is restoring system data via titanium backup going to cause troubles when changing nightly builds? Is it the same as just not doing a wipe data/factory reset?

Thanks. Also, off topic but is there any fix for screen spastic crazy behaviour (ghost typing / scrolling) when plugged into charger?

A question that haunts me since ever:

Doesn't "Wipe data/Factory reset" already clears cache? We really should clear cache after the data wipe?
I think you're right, buy as i'm not 100% sure, i put that step anyways.

Music and gallery not finding files

Apollo and gallery don't show any of my music or photos. I have a class 4, 8gb sdcard. I think someone suggested to wait a few hours or days and it will appear. I've waited 4 days with no luck. Under settings->storage it shows that i have like 500mb of music. Why doesn't the apps find my music?

Please be more precise. Try wiping dalvik cache and come back with feedback, for example with battery usage printscreen if the problem persists. Wiping batt stats is useless

Wipe cache partition is in main menu under wipe data. It is much easier to find it then wiping of dalvik cache, wich is in advanced :cyclops:

Anyway, when u change from CM9 to CM10 I would suggest to wipe data too (making backup before of course)
thank you for your answer, it help but not in 100%.

i have a problem with the ram memory(477 mb) of my defy, my defy is using most of the time 400-410 mb of ram and its making my device laggy.

is it a problem of the cm10 rom? or is there something to do about that?

thanx alot

You can turn off apps from autostart.
And you can also deselect apps in hwa selector so that they dont use hwa.

Hello guys, reading and reading all the posts now I'm a little bit confused. I'm passed from stock froyo 2.2.2 to CM9 Epsylon (using maybe wrongly the froyo Kernel) - my Defy is a red lens. 3 days ago I have decided to jump to the CM10 by Quarx and following the instruction I have changed the Kernel with the CM9 kernel. Now my question is, can I change again the Kernel with the 4.5.2-109_DHT-22-kernel.zip (walter79) that I have heard is amazing for the battery life? And just flashing the zip file via CWM with just cache and Dalvik wipe?

Thx!

WiFi

This was the first thing that I do :c and still no wifi working, always authenticating D:
I´ve got the same problem here with CM 20120802 / MB525 (green Lens). Fixing permissions and even reinstalling didn´t help. Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Markus

I understand that Epsylon3 builds are now merged with Quarx. Can anyone confirm that  Probably the reason why we didn't have an eppy build since 26 July.

I`m quite sure that it`s possible to change the kernels (I did it on my own)
but, according suggestion above, you should instal kernel first and then reinstall CMX (+ plus all wipes). Otherwise you can stuck "M" on reboot (I had that issue)

Hi there. I just installed the ROM in a friend's phone. He has a Defy, red lens. I got the kernel for Defy+, then installed it, then CM10. Working fine, even camera, but battery isn't showing correctly - it's at an eternal 1%, and when I tried installing the battery fix, it return an error 0.

And yep, I cleaned cache, etc.

Anything else should be done?

Thanks for the feedback, yesterday I read in another post that this kerner is not compatible with the CM10 from Quarx...is it true?

Thanks in advance for the support!
