Remember: If you are not on the testing team but would like to test the kernel before a public beta you can compile the kernel yourself. This is not as simple as you might think so only advances users should so this.

Great FAQ!!

A small pending correction: I think is epinter the nick name of the unoffical CM10 & CM10.1 developer.

Q: What ROM do I need to test the kernel?

MROM ICS.
-O-r- -a-n-y- -R-O-M- -b-a-s-e-d- -o-n- -t-h-e- "-l-e-a-k-e-d- -R-O-M-". eprint's ROM won't boot. Any else that are not based on leaked kernel, won't boot.

Yes. Time.

I don't really understand the point and purpose of this question to be honest. Are you assuming the devs have the whole entire plan laid out in front of them and know exactly what's waiting ahead? No, they don't. They work at one thing (or a few at most) at a time, and then move on to the next thing, according to priorities (often times not my priorities or yours or theirs, mind you). They can't really know almost anything about the next thing until they start working on it.
I meant technical issue.

Would it be worth adding a status for the various dock audio components? Sometime people don't realize they are not all the same.

Phone analog out
Standard dock analog audio out
Car dock analog audio out
HD dock analog audio out
HD dock audio over HDMI

In addition, progress on hdmi video and kernel support for hdmi switch (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39690507) that is required for webtop 3.

I don't know what you mean. May be that is a tweak? I don't know... I don't understand you. Sorry.

HDMI support is a "Work in progress" as you can see in the OP.

No worries. When it's time this stuff will all get worked out based on feedback from a larger test base. :)
