Sound

Hi,

maybe a stupid question...

did anyone manage to flash an Xloud flashable file with positive results?

or at least managed to get some better sound through speaker boost or something similar.

I know that Sebastian is working on the sound issue, but maybe there is something temporary that can be done (apart from sticking the phone to your head using those headband contrapitions) so that you can hear the sound volume.

Coming from ViperS (ICS) it is rather low,

thanks to all, and a special thanks to the developers and all who helped out on this...

I remember someone mentioning that FauxSound could work, so that might be worth a shot. Here's the Play Store link:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teamkang.fauxsound_tpa

Although I haven't tried it, people love his app. It isn't expensive either.

Yep. If you don't want to pay, I'd say just wait a few days. SebastianFM will fix it within a week or so

Are you S-ON for S-OFF? Locked or Unlocked?

Either way, I think you have to flash the kernel in fastboot, extract the boot.img from Revelation and place it in a folder, open cmd and navigate to the adb folder and type fastboot flash boot boot.img

I believe this may also solve your issue more easily:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1917106

And actually I just thought of this: can you not boot into recovery at all?
you misunderstood me
i used the fastboot command to flash the boot.img manually
because after installation it wasn't booting
what i am saying is when i switch off the device and then try to switch on again i have that problem
for anyhting else see in my signature:)
i solved it by someone's else suggestion
i had to turn off fastboot from settings
now i can switch on the device normally
i don't know why fastboot option causes that:confused:

Photo while recording

I had a lot of trouble with the photo while recording feature....Sebastian said he managed to get it to work, but I was getting only garbled photos during recording...

Finally realised that Photo while recording currently works only in landscape mode[/B.

So it does work.

If someone wants to snap pics from a recording in portrait one can simply record the video and snap the photos later while viewing in gallery

Great ROM

This ROM has taken me back to Sense. Using it from yesterday and i recognize only two bugs - touch focus not working in default Camera app ( not using it, Snap Camera HDR taking much better photos and SebastianFM posted, that fixed it), while flashing ROM on S-ON, it need to flash boot.img manualy (propably S-ON causing it). No flickering, no audio (+ volume) problem, no Sense restarts, working MMS, working fm radio...Everything important is working, fast as light and has great battery life (compared to Albinoman 4.2.2 ROM). But missing few things - some togles in notification ( but Power togles from market can solve this), percentage bar for battery, option to delete Friend Stream, Tips & Help, LinkedIn and Best Deals ( i not see it in Aroma...). For SebastianFM : GREAT work man, this ROM for now seems to be best in there, keep working on it. :good:

For percentage battery in statusbar i flashed one from this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2273637 and working great.

Sorry for my bad english.

Hey,

Is it possible to remove the persistent Power Saver notification from notification pulldown.?

Its a pain in the ass...and I think its preventing other notifications from being expandable..

Thanx for the help

There's no option to remove it but it is a great feature, when enabled cpu is lowered to 1134MHz and gpu to 200MHz.
To expand notifications use two fingers to expand them, this is how they work on sense.

Take a screenshot for example and use two fingers on the actual notification and drag downwards for it to expand :)

Hello,

in the past I had never to ask something, because of no problems or problems were already asked or solved.
So here comes my first post after two years just reading.

About my Phone:
DEVICE: HTC Sensation Z710e

-Revolutionary-
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.27.1100
RADIO-11.22.3504.07_M
OpenADSP-v02.6.0.2226.00.0.131
eMMC-boot

4EXT Recovery Touch v1.0.0.5 RC3

if you need more information, just ask.

rom history: ARDH 7.2, ViperS 3.0.x, ViperS 1.6.3, Revelation 1.0.0 (with linker fix), back to ViperS 1.6.3

now my problem with Revelation ROM:

after I had a reboot while takeing HDR photo with flashlight I have looked into Kernel log.
The reboot is at the moment not imprtant for me but I have lot of messages like that:

[ 52.120513] c0 103 end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0, sector xxxxxxx
[ 52.210815] c0 103 error 0 requesting status 0x8000900

This Message appears not in ViperS 1.6.3 with SebastianFM or Sultan Kernel.

So is this Kernel issue? Or is my phone dying?

I had no problems during flashing the ROM (clean install), all settings were standard. no mods except linker fix.

Kernel log is not the one of the reboot.

additional tip:)

This one is trickier but its doable. You have to place your files into a specific folder using a file manager.

1. Download ES File Explorer

2. Open the file explorer and copy the media you downloaded that you want to use as your notification tone. It should be on your SDCard. You can even search for it within ES File Explorer (Long press the media and select copy from the menu to copy it)

3. In ES, select your "Device" (not your SDCard) in the drop down menu at the top of the app.

4. Select the folder that says System

5. Select the folder that says Media

6. Select the folder that says Audio

7. Select the folder that says Notifications

8. Paste your media file that you downloaded and go back to settings. It will now be there in the notifications section. Done!

if the songs you placed on the notifications folder doesn't play, convert them to m4a. i have done that on my previous phone (HTC Desire C), coz when i tried to explore the added folders on my SD card on the first mount of it on that phone, a folder called Notifications appeared, and in it a sample tone (Hangout Ringtone) and it was on m4a format. so i just followed that format by then and converted my mp3 selections to m4a. haven't tried to paste mp3s on that folder though.:D
