[FAQ][ROM] Cyanogenmod 11 for Moto G

It the first time that I'm using a Cyanogenmod in a smartphone, and so far, the experience has been great. Fluid, smooth, stable as rock. Great work guys :good:
For future update, I only would like the center the clock (when enable), and that area, give a lillte of color (like the gravitybox) :laugh:

edit:I just receive and download the last update cm-11-20140324-NIGHTLY-falcon.zip. When finished the download and I tap next it's send me the message that the system will reboot and apply the update. When it boots in to the CMW recovery i received the message:

"e: failed to open /data/media/0/0/cmpudater/cm-11-20140324-NIGHTLY-falcon.zip" (no such file or directory)
E: signutarure verification failed"
I tap the option "Yes- install untrusted zip"
but then everything going so fast without doing nothing (that I capable to see....with a sucesfull message installation), it reboot and the update instalation still there to install!

Can someone help? What is going on?

you have to change the media directory in the CWM settings. Just reboot your phone into recovery, enter the cwm settings and there is a toggle setting that toggles your media directory from /data/media/0/ to /data/media/, you need to have the second path for OTA to work.

Take the opportunity to asked (noob :/) if there is anyway to use something a Xposed Framework in runtime ART? I read that the Xposed 2.5 is not compatible with the ART and I would like to use it for greenify, for example.

Hi, I needed a back up phone, ordered a 16gb and got sent 8gb. Anyway the seller offered me to keep the 8gb for £60 (~$100 USD) Which is insanely low amount for an 8gb version, so I couldn't exactly say no Anyway it has piratically no storage, may I ask if anyone knows if this roms size is smaller than stock motos please? Just to squeeze ever mb for my apps :')

I can positively confirm the latest cm11 nightly 26-3-14 is not working if u flash directly over stock rom for xt1033 Asia retail firmware.,that is after doing a clean wipe,of course.

Actually wat is the correct procedure to get cm11 working for xt1033 Asia retail handsets.Am i supposed to flash any other thing before cm11.also am i supposed to flash gapps immediately after flashing cm11 before restarting.

Also,how can i go into recovery after a boot loop.please help me guys.its stuck with circling cyanogenmod boot animation.

XT1033 is still in testing and not yet supported. Please wait until it is announced as official if you don't want to end up with bootloops or none-working SIMs.

I don't know of anything comparable for ART. Why don't you use Dalvik + Xposed?

/data and /system are two different partitions and a smaller ROM would have no effect on the amount of Apps you can install on your device.

In fact it is possible to resize /system size, and push a smaller ROM to get more /data space; but that would say a new ROM+kernel that won't be compatible with any other, the need to format everything and so-on...

I don't have this on 20140328, maybe you had set something differently?

I would say this is the comeback of renderFX (that we used to have on CM7), though i didn't find the place where the settings are :silly:

No I have the problem too. I can only use some headset not all. I have seen somebody else with this problem.

I'm having this same problem with some headphones(not all) and also my Square credit card reader is not working on CM. My headphones and the credit card reader both worked well on stock rom.
