I also have clock lag

My clock lags about 10 minutes after 10 hours of inactivity. If I start to drive away from my house the clock will update to the correct time. I have not found any way of correcting this. I am running DL30 SuperClean.

I think this might be related to the wifi sleep policy that was changed in froyo. In eclair, when the screen was off it would revert to mobile data and probably receive a clock update then. With froyo, even when I change the sleep policy to "when screen turns off", it never seems to switch.

Edit: scratch that, it works, wasn't waiting long enough.

Did the clock lag behind while you had the Wifi Policy changed to "When Screen Turns Off"?

I'm gonna be without wifi this whole weekend, so I should be able to tell if the clock lag is related to wifi or not. I'll report back on Sunday night.

wi-fi sleep policy to "when screen turns off"

i had this same issue. within 15 minutes i would be off by anywhere from 5~30 seconds but when i changed my wi-fi sleep policy to "when screen turns off," it would lag at greatest -0.500 seconds or be +0.500 seconds. we'll see if this is a permanent fix.

Looks like if you run without Wifi enabled, the clock won't drift as much as when Wifi is enabled! I'm gonna turn off Wifi until Samsung gets off their butt and release a better Froyo build. This one Sucks!

EB01 Debloated/Deodexed - no time lag
EB01 SC 2.6nv - time lag

No themes - only mod was to restore stock quick panel after flash to 2.6

I haven't had 2.6 long enough to really notice a pattern yet.

After flashing from stock EB01 to 2.6 superclean, the same issue happened to me with the alarm being 20min late. I reflashed the eb16 voodoo kernel and wiped dalvik and that fixed all clock issues for me. So by process of elimination I'm guessing not wiping dalvik when flashing might have something to do with the issue.

My clock did not drift yesterday but no harm in wiping dalvik, which I did not do after flashing.

SC 2.8nv flased over data wipe/reset/Cache Wipe/Dalvik wipe.

Dalvik wipe after the install.

This is not my first clock lag but the latest was it went off by about 5 minutes while I slept. Only Data and Wifi on.

Guess I'll get clock sync
