just curious, where does it say this is a dual core phone? nothing I have found says it's dual core. plus, 4g right now is very limited in it's coverage, and will be until at least next year (though, funnily enough, it will surpass AT&T's 3g map soon).

before any of you throw out your fascinates, give me a PM, if you are literally going to throw it out, I'll at least pay you SOMETHING for it. I love my fascinate, and can always use a second one to mess with instead of destroying mine.

I thought I saw it in a couple posts, I could be wrong, though. dual core will need integrated OS support, and I agree with some on here in that it will be worth waiting a year or two before jumping to a dual core phone, once the OS and processor are more in tune with each other. just look at the 4 core processors now, very little uses 4 cores, and they were almost useless until intel changed their architecture to better split tasks between cores and added support to windows to do this better.

I just looked at a tbolt at the Verizon store ... afaict, its bout as fast as superclean 2.9.1 as far as how it feels to use.....has sense, which if you like it is cool, if not, meh .... is about the same physical size in your hand, but has a smidge more screen real estate, and a 1.3mp front camera.... kinda Gunmetal steel colored plastic....the housing I mean... its about as thick naked as my fascinate wearing a tpu case.

Screen is bright and clear, at least it is inside the store, but not even close to the depth or richness of a fascinate on full brightness...

Yeah, I picked one up yesterday so I've had about a day to play with it. It feels like a brick compared to the Fascinate and the screen is no competition but it's a great phone out of the box. Everything is super speedy and I haven't had any significant battery issues. Just waiting for root instructions for the new firmware so I can restore my angry birds backups. lol

I think Thunderbolt is a great phone (I love Sense UI) however, I just don't see myself buying a man-purse just to carry that huge sucker around. I think its big and heavy enough to pull your pants down. My friend has an Evo and with a case on it, its as thick as a Bible.
yep. physical form has always been a big factor for me. The fascinate with no case makes a good pocket phone. If only samsung could get their support act together...

No doubt I read of htc "just works" longingly. Used to use the early htc windows mobile phones (GSM) and they were very reliable.

Also glad to see reports of the tb handling 4g - 3g transitions gracefully. I got the new LTE Pantech usb modem from vzw and it's near useless without a 4g signal.

Where did you guys purchase your phone's from? I see its 599 at verizon, but 749 at best buy? WTF?
Not much of a surprise. Sellers have it at different price. Although it was an upgrade, I got my fascinate for 1 cent at best buy compared to $199 at verizon. (walmart in my area sell the phones at lowest price without contract)

I got my wife a Droid X and I used the Evo before. Both phones never felt to big and i have slightly smaller than average hands. I use the Droid X one handed alot when the wife lets me use it. How small are some of these peoples hands? I cant wait for my TB to get here on monday. I wont be going back to Samsung untill they get the software side of things on track. Ive had too many products from samsung not just phones that left me wanting more. If only Moto would stop locking things down I would go back but of well its HTC for me :)

I jumped ship and after two full days with it I'm convinced its a great phone. Day one was tough. I missed the Fascinates display and had to relearn sense. Day two, this phone flies. It never stutters, locks up or freezing of any kind. Typing input seems much better. My call reception is better. I live just outside of 4g but have better 3g signal and data speeds along with better wifi signal and speed. I was on the fence after day one but not now. Donated my Fascinate to my son to replace his Eris. Were both happy!
