better to have those bursts of rapid charge then to wear out completely the battery after some charging cycles.Yes. It is fixed but usefull only on low levels. Did a test this morning and not sure USB PD is so efficient. Started charging at 39%. Outlet power meter reported charger pumping 18.8 W of power, so possible maximum. 10-15 minutes later it jumped down to 8.9W, phone was on 51% and quite warm. So protection is working. But... 5V 2.A charger is constantly pumping 12W of power with no heating. So USB PD seems usefull for me only if I have 15 minutes to juice up. In other long term scenarios standard charger is performing better or literally almost the same with zero heating on battery.
Not sure. As it just spikes battery temperature giving 10-15 percent fast and starts to charge much slower. 5V 2A charges a bit slower in the long perspective but as I always keep my phone in 40-80% range, it think it is better than to face high temperatures to get 15 percent fast. It is logical if I have only 15-20 minutes to charge before I go. In this case 18W is faster than 12W, but in longer time charge time till the same 80 percent is very close.better to have those bursts of rapid charge then to wear out completely the battery after some charging cycles.
Well we can only hope it's a temporary issue, new updates just come out fixing the wireless charging (hopefully) at least you can identify if it is charging slowly after the November update.I was wondering if this is a temporary problem, (before it appends sometimes) but now, my phone never "Fast Charges".
I'm using the cable and charger that's in the original box.
Is there any solution to this?
My phone: No root, security patch June 5, latest beta update.
