Fastboot error after changing battery

So I bought a used Pixel 3, flashed CalyxOs and relocked the bootloader.
After a while I realized the battery wasn't holding up so well and checked with an app which said I have 75% of the actual battery size left.
I bought a new Battery and glass back (the old one was broken) and followed a guide on youtube to replace the battery.
I haven't attached the back glass yet because the phone always boots into fastboot mode and throws some errors::)
  • NOS-production: error
  • Device-State: error!
  • Enter Reason: failed to load/verify boot images
I can't access recovery mode or anything else, the phone always reboots to the same fastboot screen.
I also can't unlock the bootloader or flash a different rom.
Does anybody have an idea what the problem could be? I am pretty sure I didn't damage anything in the phone.
I attached a photo of the fastboot screen below.
Any help would be welcome!

Did not see this the first time, try reflashing the boot.img of the rom you are using and see if this helps. I think battery info is linked to kernel, so the boot partition probably gets messed up with new battery.

Can you put the old battery back and see if it at least gets you back square one?
it does not come back with the old battery. i inspected the board under a digital microscope and i found that at least one capacitor got dislodged, probably from when i was cleaning the chassis from the old glue residue. I did not apply much force. i suspect that some of the soldering joints on the pixel 3 are fragile and come off very easily. This could explain other similar cases as well. Soldering 0402 components is beyond my abilities.... it is a shame that an expensive phone is brought down by a component that costs less than a cent. Sighh...
