I had run into a similar issue after I flashed the L-24 cust.img on my L-22......I did the update from update.app downloaded from the Huawei support site

http://consumer.huawei.com/pl/support/index.htm

This link is for Poland region, I used the one for India. However, in the products supported I do not see Honor 5x, so did they officially release it in Poland or did you buy from a cross border vendor? If so, you need to figure out what region your device was originally made for, search for the device firmware in the aforementioned site and download it.

Create a folder called "dload" in root of the you sdcard, copy the update.app there. Press power + Volup + Voldw for a few seconds, the update should happen. good luck.

you need stock recovery for this to work, and I am assuming that your adb drivers could be a problem...going by the "device not found" error you reported earlier

To fix it, download HiSuite and install it, it will install the all the necessary drivers for 5x as well, just to sort out the confusion

I'm not quite sure his adb drivers is in trouble as I guess he could use fastboot fash command, but not 100% sure as his english is quite confusing just as his mind... ^^

My english is also not so good but his is even worse...

Any time we instruct him to do something he immediately switch to something else and ask another question and that's why I couldn't follow him, ran out of patience and passed my turn to @csla. LOL

He can't concentrate himself on one thing at a time and his mind has a tendency to scatter itself in many different directions.

I would suggest him to ask a friend of his with technical knowledges to help him, including to transcript his questions and to translate the answers he got from xda...

just for completeness of the thread this is how you boot to fastboot when the phone no longer boots up

1. Place the device in fastboot mode:

Turn off the device. (then wait for at least 2 seconds) For a mobile phone, press and hold the volume down and power keys simultaneously for at least 10 seconds (for a tablet, press and hold the volume up and power keys).

2. If the above operations do not switch the device to fastboot mode, please try the following steps:
Turn off the device. (then wait for at least 2 seconds) Then insert the USB cable and press and hold the volume down and power keys simultaneously for at least 10 seconds.

#2 worked for me everytime
