Well, seeing as how close Android L is to being released, I was wondering if there's a 64-bit MX Player in the works.
I believe that FFMPEG already has a 64-bit ARMv8-A optimised version.

I, personally, am planning to get a (64-bit) Nexus 9 as soon as its released.
I'd be willing to help/test as soon as I get my hands on one :)

Somewhere!
It would be great, I really hope bleu888 takes us to that level.

It would be good to have first some material design for playlist. Maybe they alredy in the feature request list.

According to Google's Android 5.0 documentation, any app written purely in JAVA will be automatically compiled as 64bit. Gotta love Android :D

So now, all we need is a 64-bit ARMv8-A codec pack for MX.

According to the my previous conversation with the developer, there is an issue with gcc (from Android NDK) which leads to the failure while compiling ffmpeg.

He may build a x64 codec as soons it's fixed or he find a work around.

Any new updates, now the M is also around

Is there any new information from the developer or custom Codec provider?
M is also to be released in a few months, so At least L should be at its full capacity :D

I was able to play 1080p (mkv, DTS) video from my PC over the wifi without problem. But it only works with three conditions:
1) Custom Codec
2) set to SW acceleration (video and audio)
3) color set to 16bit

So optimization is needed.

I have Asus ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL

Any another player can not run it without lags...

Would be happy to have native ARMv8-A codecs available for my Nexus 6p :)
