Ok I have my contacts from Google and facebook in there. I have a 'Family group' none of the contacts are using their facebook pictures in the address book view.

to the best of my knowledge, facebook contact sync doesn't work right now (haven't seen it as an option for a long time)
What I did is open the contact and look at the bottom where is says linked contact..Click on that and you should see the option to link it to their Facebook contact...Ok I have my contacts from Google and facebook in there. I have a 'Family group' none of the contacts are using their facebook pictures in the address book view.

They're all linked, just no picture. AOSP address book WHERE ARE YOUUUUUUU?
Really...that's funny mine works great...I have all my Facebook pictures showing in my contacts..

Ah no I don't use custom groups as all my contacts are stored on goolge and not my phone...That must be the cause then...
I've given up and not storing contacts on my phone any more
