So there was this pre-launch media coverage that said the Note was primarily aimed at a female audience. I didn't believe it, and I want to find out the ratio of male to female Note owners for the record.

A side benefit of this poll is that it will give us a general count of Note owners... ;)

...err, at least for those of us that vote... the actual count will be (much) greater as not everyone will vote or even read this post...

Samsung's stated goal is 3 million Note owners.

Male here. I haven't seen any other Notes in the wild, but my business partner said he saw someone else with one the other day at the airport in Denver, Colorado. It was a woman and when she pulled it out at the bar, everyone went crazy, crowding around and asking about it.

Female.

Its about time for something other than an iphone being targeted towards females, although I don't see anything in particular about the Note that would appeal more to one group or the other.

Female user. I use my Note when commuting and nobody goes crazy about it. Sometimes people sitting next to me will try to move their heads back to steal some looks at what I'm doing. :p

I also imagine that the majority of owners won't visit the forums. And if they do, who said it will be this forum?

But there you go :) Voted! hehe. Mine's in the mail :D I still count, right? haha.

Potentially flawed survey pool

Before you ask the question about male to female Note ownership ratio, you need to know the ratio of subscribers to this discussion group.

I know this sounds very anal but I suspect that there is a significantly larger male membership than female which skews your data.

If you knew this you could potentially extrapolate from there but even that's a stretch.

As the old saying goes......"You're ugly". No offense, that is the first thing that came to my mind ;)

P.S: If anyone doest get the joke, then just Google: "Men vs Women: how they talk Rejection Lines (and what they actually mean...)"

I just saw someone at a Barnes and Noble today who had the AT&T GS2. I asked her how she liked it, and she was very pleased with it. She said that she mainly got it for the screen, both for the amzingness that Samsung's SAMOLED is, and for the size (yep, it matters!). I said, well if it's screen size you're after, take a look at this then! Showed her my Note, and her reaction was, "Wow!! That's beautiful!! Where can I get one of those?" I told her that I got mine on Amazon. And I proceeded to explain why it's better in the long run to buy unlocked devices, even though they're more expensive up front. I also explained how if you sell the device in about a year, and take good care of it, you can usually sell it for about $200 less than what you bought it, which is about what you'd have spent on a subsidized device anyway. Then I showed her my s-pen, and she about dropped her jaw, "That's perfect for me!!! You're a really good salesperson!!"

I should work for Samsung! lol
