Unfortunately I can't reproduce this issue. If the issue is reproducible on you device, I could make some changes in the web settings and send you an apk for testing.
Hi andrey, it would great if you can make changes in the web setting and send me apk to try. Maybe setting to set the zoom percentage? Because everything looks zoom in.

I've not tested it yet with Android 12. Have you tried to start playback on Fermata Auto? It should start control automatically. Make sure that control is of the same version. If you have previous versions, with original package names, of Fermata and Control installed, you should uninstall them both.
I got a video from an Italian telegram friend and on his new S21 with Android 12 was able to install correctly kingInstaller and then fermata auto from it without any problem, so there is no compatibility problems with Android 12 💪🏻

Hi Andrey.

Up to version 1.8.6 I had no problems with the touch in the web browser when watching a video in full screen( for example in Prime Video when I want to go forward or backward). From 1.8.7. everything works except the touch in full screen video, only in the web browser.

Android 11
Android auto 7.0.614134
No root
Installation with Kinginstaller.

Thanks in advance

It was working... but now it's gone!!!

About two months ago I had the app (v1.8.0) working perfectly on my phone (Redmi Note 9: Android 10.0). I could use YouTube in my car, play movies using VLC.

Had not used the Fermata app for a while, and yesterday I noticed the icon was missing from Android Auto (6.9.613724). I checked the AA settings and there was no sign of Fermata. However the Fermata app was still installed on my phone.

I have now installed v1.8.7 of the app (using ADB commands) and Fermata-Auto-Control... but it the icon still doesn't appear in AA.

Have I missed an important step? It's annoying because it was working perfectly before.

Awesome app, thank you dev.

Question... Can you set a URL or YouTube playlist as a favorite?

I have tried the new apk, but the problem still persist. I attached the screenshot. Maybe its not webview problem? Maybe its a resolution issue? Im not sure

After i finished my Job, I cannot turn bach the full screen again.
The navigation bar and the others remain at the screen.
How can i turn back the full (fill) screen while the navigation bar at the screen?

I don't think something was changed in the web addon in version 1.8.7, but I think I know how to fix this issue. I'll check.

Can you please make a simplified version of the app that is easier to control with BMW’s iDrive knob? My car doesn’t have a touchscreen and it’s very difficult to control with the rotary knob. Something like samsung music app but for videos.

So see my post above (recently edited and extended), check the content from Terminal, use the other file explorer, etc - read through and do as suggested

And usually you need root and root grant to read /data

Starting from A9, A10 and/or A11 there were some changes (it has been long ago, I don't remember details and btw I always update), I know that I had to update my MiXPlorer to read /data/data.
Maybe your browser or its version does not cope with

I wanted to change the applications order and add some speed dial entries so I reversed the ownership and permissions of the shared_prefs dir, maintaining the changes to phenotype/shared.

So far everything still working fine! Maybe only the phenotype changes are required.

    Sounds really nice!
Let us know in a couple of days again, please. I still have no time to check myself these days...
    Thank you again.

    Thank you again.

It's been a couple days and seems that changing permissions/ownership for /phenotype/shared directory is sufficient, everything still working fine (in my case it is basically Fermata and the coolwalk interface).

Hope it keeps working on future releases, but for now I'll stick with this one 😊

To install this version, you may either use the Android Auto Apps Downloader (recommended) or, for manual installation, follow the instructions below. Before the installation, make sure that the "Unknown sources" option is enabled in the Android Auto settings. New in 1.7.0 Beta https://github.com/AndreyPavlenko/Fermata/releases/tag/v1.7.0b :
    Youtube web view.
Basic web browser with support for bookmarks and full screen.
Gestures support by video and control panel view:
    - Vertical scroll - volume up/down
    - Horizontal scroll:
1 finger - emulates rw/ff button click (skip 5 seconds by default)
2 fingers - long click on rw/ff button (skip 20 seconds)
    3 fingers - long click prev/next button (skip 5%)
    Swipe left/right - play prev/next track
    Swipe up/down - play prev/next folder
    Double click - play/pause

Fermata stop working on 7.0 too were I use few day ago. I think Google blacklisted it, maybe try to rename package name can be a workaround
Seems like that :( Package renaming works, but I don't think it's a good solution. Google has many ways to block any app.

Unfortunately, for both situations (checked or not) netflix gives only sound no picture 😔
I'll update webkit in the next version. Perhaps, it will help.
