Kingstaller doesnt work? I have to un install Fermata and re install it to make it work on any AA update, I think that fermata have a "save settings" and "load settings" from file, maybe you should try to save your settings and uninstall it first?

After enjoying Fermata and CarStream for a few months it all stopped this weekend. I am running them on a
Samsung 21 Ultra where the apps run fine...the car screen now tells me that it cannot run the media. It should start with the screen that shows all the icons loaded but doesn't. So without the choices it will not run any of the non-rooted apps I am so fond of. I play many youtube videos (I don't watch while driving) plus youtube.

I have no idea if an update caused this shut down or what. Can anyone help me with this please?

Hi everyone, with my Samsung Galaxy s22 ultra aa 8.2 fermata works fine but just i can not play sound when maps is on the main screen. Can it play in background? İ can not listen to YouTube video's sound when maps is working on top. İ should put fermata on top to continue listening and watching.

Updated AA to 8.4, and Fermata Auto disappeared from my AA Apps list (even though it appears under packages in AA settings). Fermata Control still appears in my Apps list though

Tried using AAEase to reinstall, AIO Tweaker to make the SQL edits, but neither option has worked so far

Anyone successful with running Fermata Auto on AA 8.4 (or higher)?

UPDATE: I tried rolling back AA to 8.2, but Fermata Auto is still missing from the AA Apps list. Seems like this may be a server-side restriction. Any other data points to share?

Thank you so much that fixed all my issues not just with fermata auto but with all the rest of apps that was not working under android auto in the car. I have Xaiomi MI mix Fold 2 rooted with
I want to use the original MIUI Chinese version as it is, so I created a Magisk module to add the languages!
The translation is extracted from MIUI Global ROM for Xiaomi 11T Pro.

This module also enables Google Location History & Nearby Share.

This module contains patch for Google Phone app too, so if you have Google Phone app installed, please set Google Phone app as default phone app and setup permissions / autostart. If you didn't do it, you can't receive a call.
If you didn't install Google Phone app when you install the module, the patch for it won't be enabled.

Download:

Installation:
Download magisk-module-miui-cn2global.zip and install it in the Magisk app, then reboot.
You will see more languages in the languages menu.

How to root:
1. Unlock bootloader so that you can flash patched boot.img
2. Prepare Magisk patched boot.img
3. Flash patched boot.img to get root
used his module to activate android auto and worked fine but had issues with fermata not showing up.
Any ways all is working prefect and thanks to both of you. I hope this help someone

Sorry I'm sure I'm not the first to ask, but couldn't find a recent post on it - OnePlus Nord2, no root, installed the 1.9.0 from GitHub through kingstaller attached in OP, enabled unknown sources in AA dev settings, but Fermata still doesn't show in applist.

I've tried all non-root methods on OnePlus 10 pro and each time Fermata is not appear in the app menu. It looks like the firmware is blocking it from android 12+. On my wife's op7pro with Android 11 it works like a charm. Is the root, the only option?

I think I have missed some basic information. Fermata has worked properly on my phone in the past, but now I cannot play the video files on my phone when connected to AA... Just using my phone, Fermata plays the video files okay, but in my car those files are played as sound only. Has the video in cars feature BEEN REMOVED? My phone is running Android 11 with Android Auto v8.8.630444. I also have VLC v3.5.4 installed. Yesterday I updated Fermata to the latest version from the Play Store. Is playing video files in AA still possible?
The version from Play Store does not support video in AA. You need to install Fermata Auto from Github, using the KingInstaller. Please, read the instruction on the first page.

Hi, tell me please where can I download Fermata 1.9.1 with the built in xposed module

I would not say that v1.9.x has "built-in XPosed module"

v1.9.x (download available from GitHub, find the link to GitHub in the OP post) installs as LSPosed module

I have Magisk v25, with Zygisk enabled, Zygisk-LSPosed module for Magisk installed, and Fermata is installed as LSPosed module (screenshot showing my five LSPosed modules)

To install this version, you may either use the Android Auto Apps Downloader or, for manual installation, follow the instructions below. Before the installation, make sure that the "Unknown sources" option is enabled in the Android Auto settings. To enable this option, open AA settings on your phone and go to the "Developer Settings" section.

    Manual installation
    Before connecting to Android Auto:
    • Install the fermata-auto-control apk. This application is only required if you need support for steering wheel media buttons.
    • Start the player, grant permissions and add folders.

Temporary solution with changed package name.

    New in 1.7.0 Beta https://github.com/AndreyPavlenko/Fermata/releases/tag/v1.7.0b :
    Youtube web view.
Basic web browser with support for bookmarks and full screen.
Gestures support by video and control panel view:
    - Vertical scroll - volume up/down
    - Horizontal scroll:
1 finger - emulates rw/ff button click (skip 5 seconds by default)
2 fingers - long click on rw/ff button (skip 20 seconds)
    3 fingers - long click prev/next button (skip 5%)
    Swipe left/right - play prev/next track
    Swipe up/down - play prev/next folder
    Double click - play/pause

Fermata stop working on 7.0 too were I use few day ago. I think Google blacklisted it, maybe try to rename package name can be a workaround
Seems like that :( Package renaming works, but I don't think it's a good solution. Google has many ways to block any app.

Unfortunately, for both situations (checked or not) netflix gives only sound no picture 😔
I'll update webkit in the next version. Perhaps, it will help.
