Hi been using the app for a while now and very happy with it. Question though - any plans to add other youtube type streaming services like Rumble to it? With the youtube policies going the way they are going a number of content providers are providing better content on less restrictive platforms.

Hello

I've recently installed fermara auto using kinginstaller. My phone connect well with the car and everything works well. When I try to open fermata auto it's freeze for around 3 sec and go back to map with blank screen as shown in the image.

Android auto version 8.8.630
fermata auto 1.9.0 and 1.8.9 both tested same problem

I think I have missed some basic information. Fermata has worked properly on my phone in the past, but now I cannot play the video files on my phone when connected to AA... Just using my phone, Fermata plays the video files okay, but in my car those files are played as sound only. Has the video in cars feature BEEN REMOVED? My phone is running Android 11 with Android Auto v8.8.630444. I also have VLC v3.5.4 installed. Yesterday I updated Fermata to the latest version from the Play Store. Is playing video files in AA still possible?

The version from Play Store does not support video in AA. You need to install Fermata Auto from Github, using the KingInstaller. Please, read the instruction on the first page.

Hi Andrey,
I love your Fermata app, but after updating Pixel 7 with android 13 latest update, Fermata stop working in Android Auto. Try every option and it won't show up in Launcher.
Do you have idea

With LSPosed, I previously installed v1.9.0 and now updated to v1.9.1 - no KingInstaller, AAEase or anything

And thanks, it shows in AA Versions (screenshot) and appears and works in AA like a charm

Just one question - I had v1.9.0 and there was no notification in LSPosed that there was an update (for the other LSPosed modules there is usually a mark about the available updates)

I'm getting the notification, each time, when fermata is installed.

To install this version, you may either use the Android Auto Apps Downloader or, for manual installation, follow the instructions below. Before the installation, make sure that the "Unknown sources" option is enabled in the Android Auto settings. To enable this option, open AA settings on your phone and go to the "Developer Settings" section.

    Manual installation
    Before connecting to Android Auto:
    • Install the fermata-auto-control apk. This application is only required if you need support for steering wheel media buttons.
    • Start the player, grant permissions and add folders.

    New in 1.7.0 Beta https://github.com/AndreyPavlenko/Fermata/releases/tag/v1.7.0b :
    Youtube web view.
Basic web browser with support for bookmarks and full screen.
Gestures support by video and control panel view:
    - Vertical scroll - volume up/down
    - Horizontal scroll:
1 finger - emulates rw/ff button click (skip 5 seconds by default)
2 fingers - long click on rw/ff button (skip 20 seconds)
    3 fingers - long click prev/next button (skip 5%)
    Swipe left/right - play prev/next track
    Swipe up/down - play prev/next folder
    Double click - play/pause

Fermata stop working on 7.0 too were I use few day ago. I think Google blacklisted it, maybe try to rename package name can be a workaround
Seems like that :( Package renaming works, but I don't think it's a good solution. Google has many ways to block any app.

Unfortunately, for both situations (checked or not) netflix gives only sound no picture 😔
I'll update webkit in the next version. Perhaps, it will help.
