Few Questions about the Note 3

I currently have the HTC Rezound, and I'm seriously thinking about upgrading to the Note 3. I just have a few questions first for people that actually have the phone. I have a two year old son, so the camera is fairly important to me. I know a lot of people say get an actual camera, but I ALWAYS have my phone with me, so I want it to have a good camera. The Rezound does a decent job in most situation, or atleast to me it does. How does the Note 3 compare? I know that in well lit situations it is great, but what about low light? I've read that it is pretty good, but I've also read that it is horrible. So just curious what others think. Is there a lot of lag with the camera? I've also read conflicting views on that as well. Also, is the screen still pretty good out in sunlight? My phone is almost unusable in the sun.

I've also been thinking about just waiting til the announcement of the s5 to see what it is about, but some rumors point to it being speced the same as the note 3, but others put it with a lot more.

I really appreciate any feedback. I just want to make sure I'm making a good purchase, especially since I just missed the holiday sale. :(

I know the resound is a decent phone. Had one for about a week as a loaner while getting my Thunderbolt warranty replaced back in the day.
Note 3: camera is great! Better than most in low light. But not as good as an actual camera in those conditions. Lots of features, and a bunch of cool/fun filters can be added through the Samsung App Store - free and paid. The screen is nice! In both bright and dark settings.
The only thing I would caution you on (and this is a stretch) is the device size compared to hand size. Wouldn't think of it as a deal breaker for most, but just be prepared. If you have smaller hands, some things you've gotten used to doing with one hand may take some getting used to because you'll most likely start using two when you get this.

And PLEASE don't use Craigslist! A few too many people have gotten burned with phones from there!

I had a rezound for a long time & my 13 year old daughter is using it now.

The cameras aren't that much different really. Neither one will equal a digital camera in low light, but that's to be expected.

I get decent results with the Note 3 using a different camera software, but I was also a pro photographer for years & I understand all about ISO and white balance settings etc. etc.etc.

The Note 3's camera is much better than the Rezound's, it has a Newer, Larger Sensor, Higher Resolution camera with much better optics than the Rezound with a rich feature set. If I had a Rezound, I would sell it in an instant, the Note 3 is worlds above in every catagory and you will be blown away by the difference. Trust me, my best friend had a Rezound, I would even take a Galaxy S3 over it any day of the weak.

I had the Rezound for about a year and a half. The camera is better than the Rezound. If you love the Rezounds beautiful screen then you'll feel right at home on the note 3. The size can seem off putting, but after a day other phones will feel like toys. The note 3 is definitely the phone to go to from the Rezound in my opinion.
