How can I update my Mazaa to 7.1.7740.16 build?

You can use the following tutorial to easily update your Mazaa to latest firmware. I successfully updated my Mazaa to 7740. But make sure that you follow all the instructions to great detail, to avoid your device from breaking. Especially the instructions about language packs.

i think you already know it, but.. holding up the power button for some seconds results in a odd mazaa state, it seems turned off but pluggin' it on our pc we can see 20 partitions inside it.

Can we dump the imgfs from that?

Hello, I've tried to extract the IMGFS from the stock ROM that is around.
I used FFUPartTool 1.3.1 with the -extimfs parameter to create the IMGFS. But then when I try to open it in OSBuilder 1.4.209 (in Dump Tool mode) with Open IMGFS partition file, I get this error:

Reading IMGFS:
Invalid block signature

Any idea?
I'm going to try other ROMs.

I've also dumped partition 21 (~6 GB) on my Mazaa (using the ~30 sec power button mode) but all the tools die, probably the file is too big.

Can you please tell me how I can enter the SPL mode on Mazaa? I am talking about the three-colored screen. The normal method of using volume down + Power combination as well as the volume down + Camer + power combination is not working for me.

Hi, only the pre-mango Mazaa (and the mango 7720.500 build) had an unlocked bootloader.

So you can't access the tri-coloured screen anymore since it's locked (and probably doesn't even exist anymore).

Hi. As far as I know, no one has the .500 Rom. It came preinstalled on certain D1 (serial number) mazaas.

Someone at MS might be able to help.

i really don't know how this upgrade procedure works so i'm supposing, tell me if this procedure is right please, i don't want to brick my mazaa for nothing!

OS: 7.10.8862.144
Firmware: 1600.1502.772.68
Update this by using SevenEighter tool.

Is there any one who could help me out to ROOT this phone or provide me with a method to do the Interop-Unlock.
I've seen the post at XDA that requires the HTC Connection setup app. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1271963)
But basically, HTC Mazaa doesnt seem to run HTC apps. The Connection setup app just closes after popping up a warning message "No database available on device. Connection setup will be closed".

I basically need the Interop Unlock to be able to get custom accent and theme colors.
I already have a developer unlock but i'm not able to install the 3rd party apps that help me get custom accent colors.
Any method to get custom accent colors would be fine and well appreciated!

if you updated to 7.8 now their is no way to interopunlock ****...becaz your bootloader also updated...now only option is gold card method....
You have to downgrade your bootloader.....if you find it helpful pls click the thanks button
