It appears the Pixel 4 finally have esim support on the Verizon network. I tried switching it over yesterday but the tech support was closed already. Will be doing first thing Monday morning.

Why did you need tech support? It looks pretty straightforward to me. Scan the code and install eSim number. I wonder if I can use a physical sim for one Verizon number and the eSim for another on Vzw. Then I can drop Fi finally. It appears the Pixel 4 finally have esim support on the Verizon network. Are you sure about that? When I transferred my phone number to another phone via eSim it just asked for my phone number (I think.. now I'm not sure exactly) but I had the activated phone turned off and then just enabled eSim on the new phone and the phone number was there. The old phone eSim was deactivated. I think the message was something like if you install the eSim here then all other eSims will be deactivated. Maybe with Verizon the process is different but it's basically the same as switching physical sims. You take it out of one phone, put it in another and done. Heck, turn off the iPhone and try to activate the eSim on the Pixel see what happens. (easy for me to say lol)I needed tech cause my current number is attached to an iPhone esim and I needed them to be able to transfer the number back to the Pixel.
I did have my iPhone on while trying. I will give your suggestions a try tonight. Thank you?Are you sure about that? Thanks. Let us know the messages you get either positive or negative. I'm wanting to try this out too even though my situation is slightly different.I did have my iPhone on while trying. I will give your suggestions a try tonight. Thank you?
Do a search for eSim Pixel 4 on the site then it will come up.Could you post a link? I've checked on Verizon and there is nothing on using an eSim for the pixel 4. The only thing I see online is that the pixel 4 isn't compatible with eSim
Even from the link you posted it shows they're clueless. To have to go through that nonsense when it should only take a scan of QR code is absurd. I'll wait a few months for them to clear it up.https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/google-pixel-4-update/
Has to go through tier 2 tech support since no one knows what they are doing. Also, make sure you are updated to best software 200405.005. I didn't realize I wasn't updated when I tried and it wouldn't work, so will have them switch it tomorrow.
I agree. On an iPhone it's just a simple QR code scan and you're done. I'll wait until Verizon figures out how to do it right.Do a search for eSim Pixel 4 on the site then it will come up.

Did this deactivate your physical SIM if you were using one prior?Last week I activated eSim with T-Mobile. I first had to call and tell the rep EID of my phone. Then I went to settings>network... and then next to mobile network, I tapped + sign and followed the steps. (I did open T-Mobile esim support page which had QR code or I could type some info myself.)
Yes, it did.Did this deactivate your physical SIM if you were using one prior?
