I got my nexus on e-bay. power button stopped working 2 months after i bought it. I called HTC they changed the owerner of the phone to me and warrantied out the phone. i got my replacement in 4 days. the 1st phone was beat to hell and the swapped it out anyway. my phone was and the new one is rooted and unlocked. they never said a word to me about it. the only thing i had to pay for was the camera. it was cracked by me. they charged me $60.00 US for the camera. To be clear........i had NO insurance on the phone, power button is a warranty issue.

Went to FedEx on the 6th, and my Phone should be shipping later today. :) I am excited can't wait for it to be fixed, its awkward not running/using an android phone. I am temporarily using this gay ass phone

how is that possible? Your Nexus one's got without any doubts less than 1 year...so you must have warranty. Maybe not insurance...but warranty?
I bought mine second hand from an app developer who got it gifted from Google and my warranty ended 12/31/10...So it IS possible.

I went from a nexus one to a HD2 and if the front facing camera isn't that big of a deal this phone is really good. Can't say enough good things about it

Sent from my Gingerbreaded HTC HD2 using XDA App

Just go with the nexus s, or 4g if you capture video. I wouldn't wait too long to see what devices come out, it's tmobile afterall, their CEO confirmed what we all know; tmobile is for poor people, their focus is on low end androids (under $100 he said) which we also already know. But since it's now confirmed we don't need to waste time speculating and hoping for awesome devices down the road. Surely tmobile will offer some decent phones to please people who can afford them and just have tmobile for whatever reason, but according to tmobile that's not their focus, so don't count on it. Nexus s is a nice phone anyway

Technically, he said TMobile's customer base is "more price-conscious than the other 3 major carriers", so sure, that could definitely be interpreted as the customer base is more "conscious/thoughtful", and from "thoughtful", its not a huge leap to get "intelligent, or smart". So yes, I'd say he meant "smart", he definitely meant "poor", or at least "less fiscally-able", but "smart" is clearly in there as well.

Actually here is the article, its pretty good. TMobile is incredibly fast, thats why I kept my Nexus and its free tethering while still switching to ATT for their far superior coverage, in Texas at least (ATT was at the bottom with TMobile in the National ratings so I guess outside of Texas ATT blows): http://www.mobiletechreview.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=39610

This thread made me happy. I've had my N1 since April, but have been wanting a new phone for a couple months now. I know the LG dual core may be coming out in a few months, and I may get it then, but for now I couldn't wait, so I just got off the phone with Tmo and am now waiting for my mt4g in the mail. Hope it'll last me until sometime after the LG is out and rooted, with CM running on it.

How do you like yours so far, coming from the N1?

I won't lie. I missed my Nexus a lot but that was because I was running the SENSE UI. I hated it, but I recently got help from a user online and got my MT4G rooted as well as running CM7, I am in love. :p
the phone specs are good as well, no need for Apps2SD and such!
