Hi, I understand but what files should I replace? Be more specific please?
-so open up the alliance rom /system folder and the dn3 rom /system folder
- delete the build.prop, CSCVersion.txt, kern_sec_info, lkm_sec_info, and the SW_Configuration.xml files from DN3
-replace those files with the ones from the alliance rom /system rom folder
-boot into safestrap
-wipe cache dalvik cache
- flash the DN3 zip file with the newly replaced files in it
-enjoy
On a side note you will lose root and safestrap after installing the DN3 rom, but just reroot with the towelroot methods, update chainfire supersu from google play, open super user app and update binaries, and then reinstall safestrap and your done

Hi,now the wifi works perfectly, but I used a different procedure listed from benfikaman, since i had already installed the rom DN3 to my sister, i directly overwrite the necessary files in / system with an file manager example Root Explorer, then I gave permissions rw-r - r-- and then I reboot the cell and the wifi is back to work !!!

Did you have any issues with the Internet in the Verizon network?

I follow Iamakrem directions, but installed Alliance rom and did a few tweaks here and there to my liking and no issues what so for whomever wants to try it.

I basically backed up my phone and misc files etc and then copied Alliance rom to my SD Card and booted into Safestrap and did a wipe of everything and then installed the rom and everything went perfect., took just like 10-15 minutes from wiping to complete install. My WIFI speeds are around 22Mbps which is what it was before things. No LTE issues as well. Took a few reboots afterward for some custom setups and tweaking and updates.

After trying to install safestrap to my verizon note 2 for many times with failure.
Today suduenly i tried again to reRoot my my ND7 android 4.4.2 note 2 with locked bootloader and try it again
i used ghettoroot-v0.2.2 within the attachment and after rooting and before installing safestrap i went directly to google play store
and updated my super su and after the update i launched super su and it asked for if i want to upgrade the su binary and i did
and after the reboot i installed safestrap and magic happend it is working and i do not have any idea what happend it is working :)

I tried to install this rom called - DN3 (Ditto Note 3) ROM from E-team and at first i create a rom slot and flashed over it but it failed to start and that is when i decided to flash over the stock slot and it worked ...

so all you need to do is

1 - root using ghettoroot-v0.2.2
2- update you super su
3- update su binary and reboot
4- install safestrap and reboot to it
5- wipe cach and dalik cache
6- flash the DN3 rom without removing the boot.img since their is no need for that .
7. your device got a new life :)

you can confirm from the screenshot below and have nice time every one :)

i added the updated super su apk within the attachment

#Wifi Fix

For those facing wifi problems with dn3 rom i have managed to solve that by using some files from aliance 4.4.2 rom
i copied the following files from alliance 4.4.2 rom to the dn3 zip file before flashing and wifi is working now

1 - i replaced the files directly within the /system folder not touching the the folders or sub files within the folders just the files directly within the /system

and wifi now works on dn3 (ditto)

Ok..when I do this it says "Failed" in Safestrap. It's like replacing the files changes the md5 hash check. Did you all run into this problem? Which zip program did you use to replace?

I extracted the zip files from alliance and kept the dn3 zip intact, I then just deleted the files in the dn3 zip keeping it compressed and dragged the files from alliance into dn3 zip. Again there are other ways I did not develop this way the op did and thanks to him and the developers of dn3 and alliance!

I've been able to get the DN3 to flash 2x...the first time there was no Wifi, the second time there was no Cellular or Wifi.

ok...im using win7 pro so maybe that's the difference. You never had any problems flashing at all with the version of safestrap included in the post? Also, you are Verizon right?

And to doublecheck my file names here... I'm using N7100-AllianceROM_NG4-RC and DN3_v5_N7105_by_E-Team

ughh...just got it to work and booted up...still no wifi or network. It seems like some of the same apps and such from before are there. Am I supposed to Wipe davlik, cache, and data first AND in the Aroma installer?

Ok nevermind..haha . I've been trying to install the wrong build of DN3!!! I'm a moron. I'll check back.

Alright I seem to be almost there after using the right Alliance and DN3 for the Verizon device. However, I have a 3G icon at the top and I'm only getting 3G speeds. In Mobile Network settings it's set to CDMA LTE. Does anyone have any ideas?
