Hello everyone.
Well, after a long wait, the Verizon xt1922-6 is finally receiving the Android 9 pie update.
I received it yesterday via an ota.
Couple of quick observations:
The display brightness is considerably dimmer than before. Have to turn the screen brightness up to about 50% for it to get as bright as it use to on about 20 or 30% brightness on Oreo.. So that's one thing. And no, I don't have it on adaptive brightness.
Also noticed that the animations on the home screen when moving icons around is much slower than it was on Oreo and choppy at times, even though I have my animations set to .5x, as I do on all my devices.
Other than that my Moto G6 play on Pie does seem to be a bit more responsive as far as opening different apps and web browsing.
Oh and btw, after I took the ota I did a full factory reset on my device, as I always do whenever I install a new os.
Just wanted to share my first impressions of the pie update on the Verizon variant of the G6 play.
Thanks guys.
