Hi guys, my friend and i are getting problems with the finger print scanner and double tap to wake, we are both on stock stable build, some time the phone llooks like he's in sooo deep sleep so it doesn't unlock or even the screen turn on, but once you press the power button the finger print or what ever works again, and after 15-30mn it happens again,
Are we the only ones?

when i installed my rom it was a clean install, and him it was an OTA incrementation, and we started having the same bug just after updating, it's been a week now, but i started talking about it when he asked me yesterday if i had that kind of bug, so i guess we are not alone facing this issue.

Clean flash! With msm tool or fastboot rom (just search in news&discusion section for STOCK FASTBOOT ROMS)
Your bugs is only from ota updates.
On many devices i had random problems from ota updates. Clean flash always sorted things out!:)

Having the same problem since 5.1.1 with double tap to wake. Seems worse on pie stable release but definately doesn't happen every 15 minutes, maybe once a day. Don't listen to the other people saying you need to use the unbrick tool because if you clean flashed like I did it won't solve the issue. This is on OnePlus for releasing an unstable rushed android pie

This is for a bricked device not for someone facing issues.

He said he did clean flash. Factory reset is the same as using the fastboot ROM.

Sometimes when i read some response i feel like i'm on an applestore lol, did you restart it to see if it's fixed?, did you clear cache,? ... Even if i know what i'm doing with my phone when i flash or what ever i do, reading answers as use the unbrick tool to "clean" flash the rom is not the way to fix a bug that is happening on 2 different phone that have the same rom installed with different ways, i was just checking if other users are facing it or no, that's all i was asking, sorry if i may "offend" anyone , but you must also understand that not everybody knows how to flash or to root or even to clear cache, we are supposed to get fully working phones out of the box, not fully working after using unbrick tools.

EDIT: if i also say that there is latency on bluetooth earphones while playing games, or the camera is really **** compared on what it should be they will also tell me clear cache or reinstall the rom loooooooooool

It reflashes the most partitions and you have a clean room after that. Nobody says it's only for hard bricked devices

I flashed the full rom then I factory reset in settings. This isn't an issue because you took an ota it's an issue with one plus ROM. If using an unbrick tool was the only way to fix issues there will be ALOT of angry users because I can guarantee that thousands of people have never even heard of XDA let alone know there's these sorts of tools available.

Simply put the pie release was rushed and is not very stable. I have had the double tap to wake issue from the start and have seen some threads on it. Its not really an issue for me tho because it doesn't happen very often. Pretty sure it's not a hardware issue.

No. Msm reflashes way more partitions.
Yes I know this but it's not going to fix this issue. Stop spreading wrong info. Unless you actually had this issue and you fixed it by using the tool
