He can unlock as he said that he already opened bootloader.
but its unclear does fingerprint was working when he started phone for first try.

Unfortunately when I bought it I did not try the fingerprint reader.
I can open it again if needed.
Which rom should I try yet?
Fastboot or Recovery rom?
How can I completely wipe my phone?
How do you do a clean installation?
use fastboot rom, download miui 11 eu or global and flash using miflash with clean_all options (don't lock bootloader), after that flash miui 12 fastboot rom same method and see does fingerprint is back.

ok so your phone is unlocked.
go here download and install,check drivers .https://xiaomiflashtool.com/
go here and download (fastboot) https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/lmi/stable/V11.0.6.0.QJKEUXM/
extract the files in V11.0.6.0.QJKEUXM.tgz->rar put the folder(rename it with no space ex:MIUI1106) in the same folder than Miflash,check clean all on miflash,put your phone on fastboot mode,plugged it with the usb cable,flash.

nope, it wouldn't work on miui 11, after u flash miui 11 flash after that miui 12 rom and fingerprint should work. at least works for me when i had problem.
Miui11 encountered an error during installation:
Nevertheless, the phone was installed and started, but there is no fingerprint reader on it.
