Fire TV Stick 4k block OTA updates without root FireOS 6.2.8.1

Hi guys, with the new FireOs 6.2.8.1 turns out that without root the OTA updates cant be prevented by disabling the apps or any means that was possible earlier without root. Is anyone here aware of any method to just disable without rooting or without messing around with the bootloader?

Use a DNS or network based blocking solution (may cause the home screen to stop working, in which case you'll probably need to use a different one as well as an app button rebinder (Home button can't be redirected in later stock FireOS versions (It can in modded versions but that requires Root).

Block future updates (6.2.8.9 incoming!)

I had updates blocked on my firestick (through launcher manager 1.1.6) , yet the stick downloaded and updated to 6.2.8.7 . Could it have to do with the fact that I am always using VPN (nordvpn) , thus the launcher manager block does not work in...
