Interrupted OTA update forces to request full rom update, and after requested you can find it in logcat
Also you can't do it until Amazon decide to provide new update for your device specially.

@Kramar111 shared this link as well:

Thanks to @Sus_i as well!

I was thinking - by changing build.prop to older build #s one can force Amazon to provide some earlier versions as well. It's possible Amazon does not test all the jumps, and will have to do updates in sequence (seems to be true!).

See this post for details:

yesterday:
Amazon 4k Fire Stick update forced to FW 6280 using TWRP

today:
Format Factory - initial setup wizard - rollback Amazon 4k Fire Stick on FW 6271 using TWRP
(FW 6271 + kamakiri + Magisk + AFTV-MM)

Yippee! experiment successful!
Great news! What Magisk version are you using? I get an error after trying to flash AFTV-MM. Cheers!

I have an unrooted stick that got the update and I can't use it due to it triggering my visual disability. Is there any way to downgrade?

Also I have a fire stick still in box (so hast been upgraded) any way to block the update on that one? I'm afraid if I plug it in and set it up it will force upgrade

I did this successfully, Is there any reason that it only works if I downgrade to 6271? I get stuck on firetv screen if I try with 6276/6277.

    Hi
Just a little request from a relativly new newbie, but learning.
I have previously unlocked one of my 4K sticks, installed twrp and magisk.
I have just purchased a used one to unlock.
Question is do I need to register it first out of the box or can I unlock it first, then register it with Amazon?
    Regards jb

I saw recommendation somewhere that it is better to register it first.
But if you do, better do not install updates anyway, to keep fuses
