This thread is for the L29/AL00 so everything is in the same Place.

All Firmware are working with Dload Method.(Backup your Data dload Method delete all!)

All files are located on a Fast Server (Google Drive)

Guide for Dload Method

Instructions for the dload Method

You need NM Card or OTG Stick Typ C
or Adapter Cable Typ C to USB A and USB Stick
At least 30% Battery Level!


Normal Upgrade

1. Download Update Package and Unzip it.

2. Copy the dload folder to the root directory of the Memory Card or OTG Stick or Adapter C to A with USB Stick.

3. Launch Phone Dialer app and dial *#*#2846579#*#* > ProjectMenu > Software Upgrade > SDCard Upgrade > OK.

4. Now the installation Process starts on your Device.

5. Once done, the Phone automatically restarts into latest Stock Firmware.




Force Upgrade

1. Copy the dload folder to the root directory of the Memory Card,OTG Stick or Adapter C to A with USB Stick.

2. Turn off your Phone.

3. Next, you need to press Volume Up + Volume Down + Power Button simultaneously for 6-8 seconds.

4. Once the Update Process starts, release the Hardware Buttons and wait 5-10 Minutes till the Process is Completed.

5. On a successful finish, the Device will automatically Reboot and you’re all set to enjoy the new Firmware on your Huawei/Honor EMUI/Magic Smartphone


That’s the simple Guide to Update your Huawei/Honor Phone to the latest Version.

Please be careful when flashing if you flash the wrong firmware you can brick your device

Can this process(DLOAD) can potentially be used to rebrand AL00 to L29? I've seen some threads of old models that actually uses this method to rebrand thier phones.

Yes and you need a USB Stick.
I use a Icy Box with micro Sd.

For what reason you need this stick? As I know, we need otg cable + any usb 2.0 flash drive. Or you prefer microsd card?

Yes you are right, but I checked mate 20 pro thread, and find out that 330 firmware with DC dimming already exist, so I think in near future it will come to our device.

Don't make the mistake of flashing the firmwares on this thread on your Mate 20 Pro. These are for Mate 20X.
