How did you manage to install the upgrade?I purchased recently this box :
Carlinkit CPC200-TBOX https://www.carlinkit.store/product...ox-wireless-android-auto-apple-carplay-ai-box
It looks like it's a clone of the Applepie box, since their support team sent me yesterday a beta firmware update that, after application, changed the name of the box to "Applepie".
The box has 2 main issues that I discovered so far:
1) when I configure a second user in the Android menu of the box and switch to it, I see a message on the lower right corner, saying "device not activated"
2) the resolution is low, some apps don't display properly, one example is Spotify. It looks cramped and you cannot access the app buttons.
I am in touch with support and will be doing more testing.

Did you figure it out.Hello everyone. I am hoping someone can help me.
I purchased this unit
CarlinKit Ai Box 4G Cellular,4+64G,8Core, Fit for Cars with OEM/Factory Wired CarPlay, 1 Adapter 2 System,Built-in Navigation,Support YouTube Netflix,etc.Wireless CarPlay&Android System https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09G9KPXH...abc_EC4RYQVV4MMV22BJA2J3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
from what I can tell from a post a bit above it is a applepie min clone.
Can anyone help me confirm which update file I should apply for my box? Or even better educate me on finding it myself in future? I think the qualcomm?
EDIT: Ok I found the support site and the update file it is on there main sales page near the bottom, before the related products section
and here is the link to the firmware file. 10/14/21
It was a bug of that firmware. Should be fixed by now. For further info join the TelegramchanelI have CPC200 unit, upgraded few days ago to 27/11 firmware (https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=330255). With this latest firmware I'm not able to update to other version - message 'upgrade packages from illegal manufactures' pop up :O Earlier i was able to install other version. Any ideas what to do?
Thank you for the firmware. Do I flash through phoenix suite or do I use to official update method by renaming zip to upgrade_pkg and placing file on device?
You don't extract the .zip you just copy the update.zip to the root directory of a fat 32/exfat MicroSD card and it will install once you insert it into the box.... you don't need the password as there is no need to unzip.I bought my T-Box from Amazon. Just contacted the seller there, and received the latest firmware, but it's a .zip file that need a password to be extracted. Already asked for it and now waiting.
If you want to try, this is the link to download it:
About audio in Carply I confirm it is metallic with very low quality if compared to wired connection. I hope the update will improve it, if I will be able to install it.
Actually carlinkit started double archiving their update uploads. If you get a message about illegal manufacturer try using password: chel to extract the real update.zip within the update.zip
Understood. I read the previous page comments before upgrading. Much appreciated. No problem. Just in the future be mindful that if you get an illegal manufacturer error message before the update begins that the zip does need to be extracted using password: chel
Inside will be another update.zip and that will be the correct file to place in the root of the SD card to update.

I find that on boot up, with just the update zip folder on the SD card, the system brings up a screen saying it's found the file and gives a YES or NO option to go for the upgrade. Make sure you click the phone projection button as soon as is turns to CarPlay otherwise if you wait it will I think default to the existing firmware. So, I have downloaded the update.zip for 2022-01-11 to the root of the SD card. I Can browse the SD card from the UX999 and open the zip-file from the EZ-browser. But nothing seems to happen in terms of update...?
Anyone knows if the update message is displayed automatically and if so how long does it appr. take before the update is recognized by the UX999?
