Hi all, helpful thread, thank you.

Just updated the firmware for my newly purchased M.I.C' GT464EA with Android 10 and everything so far working as far as I can tell. It was a nightmare trying to connect before the firmware update. Still exploring it but i just can't seem access my phone book even though I have an active internet/Bluetooth connection to my Android phone. I see there's a download icon next to it but nothing happens when i press it. I find myself having to switch to Android Auto to make phone calls etc as it's so much more intuitive then having to type a number in, just a bit of a pain always having to switch between the two.

I just got a Ottocast PICASOU 2 PRO Carplay AI Box for my car. There is an 1 - 2 second audio delay on any video (Netflix, YouTube). I have updated it to the latest firmware off the ottocast website and all the apps are up to date on the Google Play Store. I have a brand new $60,000 2023 Honda Pilot Elite with a BOSE OEM sound system. Any way to fix this? Thank you.

Another issue i'm having is still not being able to connect to Andriod Auto via my M.I.C' GT464EA AI Box with Andriod 10. It doesn't use Zlink app it uses "Multiplay". After creating a hotspot on the AI box and connecting to it from my phone's wifi and via bluetooth it says "Connecting" then eventually it stop and hangs on "waiting". i tried turning off wifi, bluetooth, turning them on again but doesn't fix it. On my phone's navigation/tray it says "looking for android auto". The AI box functions are working fine but no matter what i try to do i cant seem to get a connection to Andriod Auto. Would really appreciate any assistance.

Edit: found this set up guide from M.I.C's youtube channel, it certainly isn't as easy as what they show! (at least for me)

There is the new firmware for CPC200 Android 12 on their website. It looks like the firmware is made for tester but I don't know why they publish the firmware.
I did upgrade my Box using that version and now my box isn't stable anymore. The system crashes many time at boot and no audio

did you upgrade it from Android 11 to Android 12 via using the file on their website?

Hmm, it does look like the firmware update downloads from carlinkit i.e. https://www.carlinkit.com/download_xx/1622873269838962688.html don't contain the right files to do a bootloader flash (.hex). Only to do an in-field upgrade via the TF card.

Anyone know more than I do about that?

Ordered the UX999 Ultra and now that I stumbled upon this post, I wonder if it’s gonna work with Ford Sync 3 on a 2018 Ford Mustang?

Funny thing is I used to have a Carlinkit Android 11 box, but decided to sell it and get the UX999 Ultra. Really hope that it’s compatible with Sync 3 and my 2018 Ford Mustang.

According to this page, the Apple Pie Ultra (isn’t it a clone of the Playaibox UX999 Ultra?) should work with 2017-2022 Mustangs.

The only way I've found to dial calls from Google Assistant search results using a CarPlay AI box is to have a SIM card installed. When connected by Wi-Fi I get an error when trying to place the call. I've tried redirecting calls to Google Voice that only works for one call and then my microphone goes dead requiring me to reboot the box.
