Fastboot will show current cid.
Terminal and Cid getter show your phone's original Cid :)

I don't know why it is done this way. I am assuming the fastboot reads off the eeprom but the terminal and Cid getter read off something in the built in hardware

That is what is nice though. If you don't know your original CID you can find out that way in case you even need to fix it so you can send back for warranty

thanks for that clarification! at least i know my phone is supercid =D

Revolutionary Firmware uploaded.
Could you explain what is different about the revolutionary firmware? I flashed tmous 3.24 and all is good but I'm wondering what is the difference in the revolutionary 3.24 and should I flash it also

But do you have this same screen as mine? Well, I think we have the same ***Security Warning*** message.

Yes, i have the same screen. But as i wrote above: I don't wanna lose my warranty with the htcdev unlocking method.
I have a functional stock rom and i can wait, til revolutionary breaks this 1.23 hboot / a newer official RUU will release.

Which rom are you trying them on?

Sent from my Sensation in Ur-Quan subspace
Android Revolution HD with Ice Cream Sandwich & HTC Sense 3.6

It also boot loop with my old rom 3.6.13 Revolution.

So now I have to revert back to 3.12 and cannot use the ICS rom yet.

3.24 won't run GB at all nor 6.0.x ARHD unfortunately.

I haven't tried revolutionary but non-revolutionary T-Mobile -> I did that, removed pg58 from card, superwiped, then did 6.1.1 and it ran for me after about 7 min or so

I did that too (super wiped)...redownloaded the firmwares a few times and all are experiencing the same problem.

I dont know what can be wrong with my phone that it will not accept the new firmware...

Out if curiosity. Have you tried it with a rom besides ARHD?

Also when you installed ARHD which options did you choose?

I have not, I'm at work and it's troublesome for me to flash firmware as I dont have an microsd card reader and have to pull the sdcard every time I try to flash a new firmware.

When I get home with all my toys and tools I will be able to test out other roms to see if it is the rom that is causing the boot loop with your firmware.

Ah gotcha.
Paul posted the best way to do it here.

I just need to clarify/reassure myself before I do anything potentially stupid. My phone says it's currently hboot 1.17.1111 - that means I am scid correct?

Also, if I don't plan on changing to ICS until there is a better, more stable and bug free release from HTC is there any point in changing to 3.12? In other words, does the newer firmware have any benefits if I am staying with gingerbread?
