I struggled for 30 minutes to do this. it is best to disconnect the cube from the radio with the ignition off, wait 5 minutes, connect the cube, press reset, turn on the ignition and touch the display with five fingers. You have a link and the procedure described, at home with the power supply, the procedure took a while, because there was no power after the ignition switch, do as I wrote above. Junsun you uploaded the software early and it worked for you
I cannot get to that without take apart entire dashboard, so will try without first. if still not work will take apart dash board in the daylight tomorrow
If you have Junsun radio, mediatek processor is the best firmware is 8667Q军灿UI02-国外-VHD720x1280_v23_20220801 . the logo is code 5678. You don't have a logo on the radio, I can get it from the software
now i know why your firmware crashed, you don't have checksum in 8667.upd. if you get the software and if you enter 8667.upd and there is nothing there, it means that the radio will fail. Something came to my mind, you would have to know how to enter recovery, do the format as it is there, the radio should start. the checksum is embedded in the stock software

its brogotek, its not actually junsun...well brogotek is the seller on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/autogpsbrosmartek it was their firmware I sent link for....I have put software in before from them with no checksum on upd file and was ok
I changed the logo to mercedes benz when i first got the unit and still shows on boot before it gets to fastbook mode
be careful because there are higher versions but they are not correct, read what you downloaded. if you don't want to have problems install what you got. or send your check to see if what I gave you is the correct software

The problem I have is that when I turn the unit on, it loads home and then goes straight to the radio.
I don't know if this is normal behaviour. What I want is that when I turn it on, it stays in home without opening the radio application.
Is this behaviour like this?

1Update on my bricked unit...final update
It is not fixable, on these units the rom chip is volatile and can only be written to a few times so learn from my experience and only update the firmware if you absolutely have to
It could be fixed by replacing the motherboard but have been unable to source one from aliexpress or from ebay sellers of similar units and ebay sellers are not honouring the 12 months warranty. I have attempted to buy a whole new unit and was going to swap the motherboards and return as faulty but sellers are removing these units from sale.
So I have cut my losses and bought a universal eonon double din 10 inch and a facsia that will fit in my car11
I don't like the Junsun launcher, I don't use it and so I'm not a Junsun launcher expert.
But I don't think you need to save changed icon positions manually.
Nevertheless, some users experience the issue of not stored system settings while an USB drive is connected.11 -

22After testing Ossuret 9 I can conclude:
+ The radio is muted correctly with voice commands from the navigation, with Junsun UI2 does not mute the radio enough.
+ All applications work including the small navigation window, but it is too small for Waze for example.
-It works an idea more unstable than Junsun UI2, google assistant crashes(app stop working) on first use and once system crashed and didn't reacted any clicks.
