This is not correct. I have installed the Indian ROM and it's giving me both Sims. You do need to purchase a dual SIM tray and then unlock the bootloader before installing the ROM but you can then relock the bootloader afterwards.

Yes, I have a global mi10. Unlocked the bootloader, fastboot rom found on this page https://c.mi.com//miuidownload/detail?device=1900379 flashed with the instruction to relock the bootloader afterwards and when it rebooted, there were two SIMs visible. All banking apps work. Netflix and Amazon Prime work. Only minor drawback is that it doesn't appear as though the Android11 stable Indian MIUI rom has been released yet.

Xiaomi eu is based on weekly china .. there's no other dev/weekly rom. Why you want stock rom if you can have custom like xiaomi.eu ?

And read on xiaomi.eu forum there's recovery issue on umi/cmi.
Never had issues on lr recovery btw but not using android 11 (using custom resurrection remix). Twrp unofficial here is deprecated

I read that camera is better on chinees version of weekly, then on xiaomi.eu weekly.
that is why i wanted to try as i dont know how to take out camera and libs from chinees rom and put on xeu rom.

but now i am on latest xeu weekly, and on mi10 there is no problem with twrp, just on mi10pro

Stock recovery

@yshalsager, I guess this is the right place to ask the question, instead of starting a new thread. If you think otherwise, please let me know, so I can ask the question in a separate thread.

I've read somewhere that XEU ROMs could be flashed even through the stock recovery (Mi Recovery). With the new android 11 builds there are new problems especially with TWRP that puts the phone into bootloop.
Therefore I am thinking of flashing the stock recovery and trying to flash the new XEU build through it.
Are there any differences between recoveries for different regions (CN, Global, IN, EU)? My phone came as global, but now runs on XEU, which I believe is CN base.
Is there any difference between Android 10 and Android 11 recovery-wise?

Bottom line - what should one do (step-by-step) in order to download/flash the proper stock recovery and flash the latest XEU build?

Thank you.

Xiaomi.eu ROM can't be flashed using the stock recovery, since stock recovery will allow only officially signed zip files.
Usually there's no diffenece between any official recovery image files. As you see, the upgrade package from an android version to another has no recovery image inside.
