You can get latest stable firmware images for land from here. If you are facing Unknown Baseband issue or something like that, then you should flash the latest firmware. If you need any further help, just comment down below.

NOTE: READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING​

Flash at your own risk and do some research before flashing. I'll not be responsible if anything happens to your device.
This is only for Redmi 3S/3X/Prime (land). Flashing it on other device may result in Hard Brick

FLASHING PROCEDURE​

1. Reboot to Recovery.
2. Select Install and select the firmware zip file which you've downloaded.
3. Swipe to start flashing and wait untill flashing finishes.
4. Reboot and Enjoy.

You don't need to flash MIUI for firmware if you're flashing this

what i meant was that i always flash new custom nougat ROM after i flashed some firmware updates.
i did not mean flashing MIUI ROM

so, i can just flash this firmware on my AOSP based ROM, wipe cache after that and reboot?

Yes you can flash. No need to wipe cache and dalvik. Just reboot after finishing installation.
