i kept editing parts of the original build.prop but couldn't get the remote to work with us codes, finally copied and replaced the build.prop which resulted in reboots. so i just flashed your us version for now. sorry i couldn't get the remote to work with the japanese version. i'm hoping doomlord can help us out with the .370 firmware problem. i'd rather have a usable remote app than a rooted xperia z tablet for now. was only rooted for foldermount to save space on the internal sd. since i have the 32gb not that big a deal.

I've recovered remote control app and OTA updates (no more FCs). I've lost root, so I'll have to wait for a FTF with 10.1.C.0.344 US version before trying downgrade again or an updated root procedure.

Haha, yeah i hear ya man. I've folder mount too, i'm missing that since i've like 17GB in games, i cannot use my 64GB Samsung microsd class 10 but yes i preferred the same thing, it's better to have an original ROM than having a foreign ROM with some great differences. At least you have the 32GB version, i've the 16GB.

That's great to hear! yes it was my bad to not create a .344 US version, i guess i was confident that maybe rooting the .370 was an easy thing.

Oh i do have root right now with the .370, but thank you man. my version is US customization, but i believe that it should work for Europe too. No problem, we are here to help

No FW flashing needed for European users - rooting works right away on .370 with the above Japanese rootkit.

It will turn your tablet Japanese (region is not set to US and a few Japan-specific apps are installed). Been there, done that. Luckily, I saved a copy of my original .344 build.prop and used it to create a new .370 build.prop, then I created a .bat file to set /system R/W, copy the new build.prop to /system, and set /system back to R/O. After that, I used Sony Mobile Update Service to install (repair) the US version of build 10.1.C.0.370.

You can gain root access on SPG311/312 build 10.1.C.0.370 by using DooMLoRD's XTZ Easy Rooting Toolkit.

I cannot think of any reason to keep a backup of .344 or why anyone would want to downgrade to it because .344 had a few bugs (e.g., touchscreen over sensitive). Sony released .370 to exterminate the reported bugs in .344. If I were you, I would go forward and not look back.

No. Gaining root access will not affect DRM. (Perhaps you're thinking of unlocking the boot loader which will affect DRM.)

i moved to cm 10.1.2 and now i regret it lol... i prefer the sony side of it rather than the stock android ... anyone have the UK stock firmware for SGP311 16GB WiFi model?
