Need help

I am no expert like some of you in the community and I am not novice, I've rooted/installed Roms/ unbricked devices before. I purchased a Samsung Tab 3 T210R that was stuck in the Samsung loop. Upon receiving the Tab 3 I reset to default and wipe cache, it then restated and took me to the set up process if the device (like logging into my Samsung acct, setting up date/time) but it would freeze through the process. So, I then I followed everything stated in this thread*http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2459734*..after following the steps in the thread I got a "kernel panic" message. I followed the task a second & third time using the first two links in Sammobile (Canada and Cellular South), the device now stays in the Samsung loop and sometimes shows a pixelated/ distorted Samsung logo.

Since I bought the device on eBay "as-is", I don't know what Android version was installed, but from the looks of it, it may have been a stock rom. I do know the model number is T210R 8 GB WiFi. I hope you guys can guide me and explain how to fix this issue. I would truly appreciate your help!

I forgot to mention after rebooting it to wipe cache/reset there's a message in red that reads " E: failed to verify whole-file"*
Thanks in advance!

I've got a SM-T210R with regular firmware and I tried updating the rom I believe to kitkat. I'd like to restore the firmware and CAN access the download mode and have Odin 3.07 on my pc alongside the samsung usb drivers --- I tried downloading the US VZW firmware restore but it prompts me to pay money for the file. If anyone could provide a mirror and/or instructions to restore I would be greatly appreciative! $100 tablet down the garbage if I can't restore it

I am glad I found this I just got mine a week ago and was in a hurry to root it so I could play around and in doing so I spaced off making a backup. So again thanks your a lifesaver. Can do the updates then back it up before I root it again. You happen to know of any good roms for this tablet?
There are quite a few roms out there for this device.

First make sure it is charged. Then maybe build yourself a USB plug to put it into download mode. It was just a microUSB plug and a resistor IIRC. Then try again. But really first try charging it over night. If it still won't react to the Downloadmode dongle and your charging attempt, then you should be slightly worried about having a bricked device. Does it react to your charger?

I'm having an issue with my USA WiFi 8GB SM-T210R ~ I slightly remember foolishly trying to get android 5.0 or something onto the device a couple years ago, and have been reading and re-reading this thread every couple of months in hopes that maybe something new would be found out about having lollipop on the device with my firmware.

I tried basically installing lollipop first and then flashing the firmware but unfortunately this didn't work, however it did not brick my device except it would bootloop alot, sometimes not work properly when getting into the nitty gritty (battery screen would only keep rebooting and never display a charging indicator, although the little circle on the battery would constantly flash and then it would try to boot instead of just display the logo with the battery icon and charging symbol but nope, just trys to boot.

I have tried using ODIN 3.07 to flash the two following files with no success each time ~ KIES_HOME_T210RUEAMG4_T210RXACAMG4_1304745_REV00_user_low_ship.tar
KIES_HOME_T210RUEAMK1_T210RXACAMK1_1304745_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5

However when I tried flashing either, it did finish successfully or at least displayed that it did in the ODIN portion but when I went to boot, just the samsung logo flashing and now it won't even flash the samsung logo (I did all this last night before I was going to bed and was super wasted when I did it)

after it told me it did it successfully it brought up the android guy with the progress bar and stuff and finished or whatever and then dun dun da da da dun sounds and now only shows a black screen with the backlight on.

What am I missing here?

I've bricked mine a few times with Odin trying to flash system.img that was smaller than the original system partition.(because of a kitchen) After the partition size changes my backups wouldn't restore, error tarfork, etc. Everytime though ive been able to recover it with my flashable zip for the ROM I did for this device. You can try installing it through TWRP and It might get you going.

Advice Appreciated

Hello,
I recently picked up a Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T217S at a yard sale, figured it would be something for me or the kid to play with. It works and looks new but my issue is it seems it was used and configured for business in its past life. It logs in to a screen with only two tabs both related to business and is locked down beyond the two tabs. I can’t even access settings or the top menu. Task Manager and the other choices using the home button have also been locked out.
I’ve done some research the last few days and downloaded Odin, the T217SVPUBOH1 firmware and USB Drivers hoping I could reset everything back to factory android. My problem is it’s not keeping a connection through USB longer than a fraction of a second. I connect the cable and it disconnects almost instantly, it charges fine through usb and I’m using a data cable, it does show a connection when the cable is first plugged in but disconnects immediately after that. I’ve also tried through sd card and recovery mode but that didn’t work either. It detected the sd card and seemed like it did something but when logging back in went to the same business screen.
I'm not real experienced at this and not sure if this is the right place to post or if anything can be done but if anyone has any thoughts, can point me in the right direction or let me know either way I’d appreciate it.

Update: I've managed to get the USB to stay connected, installing the USB Driver for a 2nd time solved that. I've opened Oden, loaded the MD5 file let it verify and click start. It runs through it's sequence and says succeeded when finished but when I restart it goes back into the same company screen. I've done this twice so far with the same results.

Well I'm no expert but I think it might be something on the phones system memory Odin reflashes the ddl and bin files the framework of the machine my guess is that you have some sort of launcher app instead of the standard home screen I would try booting into recovery using vol+ home and power button and see if you can factory reset it also what version of Odin are you using

tablet error extraño

I have a problem in updating an official ROM on the tablet tab3, the tablet has a custom ROM installed and I tried to do the following:

1.- Rootearla with the King ROOT application, made with success.
2.- I connected by Recovery and make the format factory and wipes, well after doing it and restart the tablet as if nothing, continues with the same ROM and does not delete any application.
3.- As apparently the recovery did not do anything, I decided to install the TWRP recovery via ODIN to see if it was solved and could leave the tablet as a new factory outlet, even though ODIN finishes all the steps correctly and does not give any errors. After completing everything correctly, I restart the tablet and my surprise that it is not even allowed to update Recovery.
4.- I try again to install an official ROM for this tablet and to do the distribution again by inserting the corresponding pit. In ODIN everything is done correctly and all steps are completed correctly and the PASS message appears in ODIN indicating that the installation was successful, but when it restarts it follows the same ROM.

Can someone help me and tell me how to format the tablet or what happens? Because I do not understand the pass or because it does not leave nor return to factory values nor does it leave update recovery, nor eliminate the root ROM.

If someone can tell me if they have a solution I would appreciate it because I do not know what else to do to the tablet.

Thank you very much
regards
