Firmware update failed

I just updated my SM960F/DS (dual sim UK version) to February security patch level via OTA. Stupidly, after it booted I went into recovery and erased the cache before it had finished the post boot firmware update process. After booting again it gave me a "Firmware update failed. Contact Samsung service centre" message.

Everything looks to be fine, however - the correct software version is installed and it shows February security patch has been applied. The phone works ok and the critical flashing operations are all done in recovery mode anyway. Anyone have any insight into exactly what it is doing in the post boot "finishing firmware update" mode? Any likelihood that I broke something beyond repair (I'd really hate to have to reflash from Odin).

Not certain but I think part of the post boot process is optimising apps. If everything is working without issue, I'd leave it as it is.

Sure, that's normally the case. I've built many ROMs, just not one for Pie.....so not sure exactly what it's doing here. Was just curious and hoping someone who has built Note 9 ROMs could give some insight....
